Re: solid state relay

I'm with pcmanbob.! SSR input are opto coupler with build-in resistor in series. If you add a resistor you will limit the current at the led of the opto coupler and it could misfire the trigger on the triac on the output side of the SSR. Since you are using a 2n2222 use 12V to the + input , connect ...

Use pigpio!

There is an example with the HC-SR04 http://abyz.me.uk/rpi/pigpio/examples.html Check under the python code.

Re: Measuring stepper motor distance travelled with PWM

I did something like you want to do on a test. More or less I specify the number of microstep to do. Then it should be easy to implement a stop function and count the number of step done or check on the fly the number of step. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=86502&hilit=stepp...

Re: Using 5 RFID Readers on RPi 3B+

One additional question, if i connect all 5 reader to the cs pins, 2 to spi0 and 3 to spi1, will it work out of the box with the https://github.com/mxgxw/MFRC522-python library? Good question. Maybe the GPIO to reset will be complicated. I did fork this github and remove the GPIO ,no reset needed, ...

Did you forget the pull-up resistors?

I do have the same behaviour if I remove my external pull up.

Also If I just add dtoverlay=i2c5 I got /dev/i2c-3, (ls -l /dev/i2c*), then I have to use i2cdetect -y 3.

(spidev.max_speed_hz). Je pense que c'est à la ligne à la ligne 374 dans le fichier lib_nrf24.py def begin(self, csn_pin, ce_pin=0): # csn & ce are RF24 terminology. csn = SPI's CE! # I...

SPI0 is the default SPI using raspi-config. This will give you 2 chip select. SPI0 MISO -> GPIO9 pin 21 SPI0 MOSI -> GPIO10 pin 19 SPI0 CLK -> GPIO11 pin 23 SPI0 CS0 -> GPIO8 pin 24 SPI0 CS1 -> GPIO7 pin 26 SPI2 is only available with the compute module. Three pcf8574 modules with three 1k pull up on + the 1k8 on the PI will make pull up too strong. Please remove the 1K resistors on your modules!

It shouldn't kill the GPIO but it won't work!

How far away each rfid receiver will be. You should consider that SPI is not made for long distance. I made a system using RS-485 with arduino in conjonction with a raspberry Pi to accomodate any number of RFID readers. https://github.com/danjperron/modbusMFRC522 I also modify the current rc522 pyth...

Re: Pi-4 Activating additional UART ports

Thanks PhilE, Are you sure that is pin 28 and 29 . I think it is 27 and 28. To summarize. uart2 uses pins that could conflict with the camera and any kind of "hat" with eerom. Also If you enable the handshake, I2C1 has to be disabled. uart3 use GPIO4 then you should consider to change 1 wire GPIO pi...

Re: Pi-4 Activating additional UART ports

i2c0 is irrelevant when you have i2c1!
This mean that ID_SD(pin 27) and ID_SC (pin 28) could be used for other things?
I though they were reserved for eerom on hat board ?

Re: Pi-4 Activating additional UART ports

Is it me but enabling uart2 is irrelevant since GPIO0 and GPIO1 are not available!

Unless it is possible to disable I2C0.

Why every body want uart2?

uart5 is the best one to enable if you need I2c and SPI.

Re: Pi4 set serial ports UART

OK now you know that uart2 is not available. You should remove uart2 from the config. Try uart5! add this line into /boot/config.txt enable_uart=1 dtoverlay=uart5 The TX will be GPIO12 and RX GPIO13 B.T.W. uart3 use the same pin than i2c and uart4 the SPI. The simple method to check if it works will...

Your graph looks like the normal frig behavior. What you see is the hysteresis of the thermostat. Turn OFF around 1 Celsius and switch ON at 5 Celsius.
