I want to build a Raspberry Pi Garage Door Opener which would open 2 garage doors (with the iPhone app). Other than a Raspberry Pi what would I need? Also could someone link some instructions?
I am trying very hard to setup my raspberry pi as a LAMP server and no matter what Linux distro for Raspberry Pi I use the downloads fail or return 404 (*cough* arch *cough*) am I doing something wrong / how can I fix this error.
I have been trying to show off my Raspberry Pi to friends and family (i am building a lego case for transport will upload a photo later) and am unable to display youtube. I installed Gnash and the browser plugin but youtube is still not working so what should i do?
ok change of plans the case will be made of legos to save money so now just need very cheap lcd screen and maybe integrated keyboard/mouse at the big total of $50USD
I have about $50 to work with (i prefer Amazon US if possible) and I need a screen and a case to put everything into that can fit the screen and my raspberry pi (it is protected by a clear case that i prefer not to remove it from) and my 10 port usb hub and also i need to be able to open it and fit ...
If it still works great otherwise order a new one and put your sdcard in the new unit (like nothing ever happened ) as the Raspberry Pi will only cost you $35 maybe less depending on your model good luck
I don't think you can get a GUI over SSH (If your using for security just connect over a local ip it is secure enough) however I run a VNC Server on my Pi and connect from my iPad too I use Wyse PocketCloud Pro (It costs $14.99 but they have a free limited version but I paid to support their develop...
Thanks testing the solution right now wish me luck if it does not work I will let you know but everyone on the forums has been so helpful and my raspberry pi unit does everything I want it to
Buying a nonwireless keyboard could help but a self powered usb hub is a essential. I have a self powered usb hub with 10 ports that i plug all of my devices into then into the pi and my actual pi unit has it's own 5V|1A adapter so power is never an issue for me. When you have repeating keys power c...
If you buy a selfpowered usb hub (i use one to power all of my devices for my rasppi then just plug the self powered usb hub into the rasppi and all of 10 devices are connected) you might have better luck it could also just be a driver or a codec issue as many web cams are propeitary maybe buy a web...
PocketCloud Pro thanks for the information however would the same apply to using tightvncserver as I type "tightvncserver" and then I switched the port 1 over because it was not connecting however the server could be refering to the session as X1 as X0 might be what is displayed on my TV
Also I run tightvncserver and connect to port 5901 not 5900 (my iPad won't let me use port 5900). It is not an issue but just wanted to confirm this and also know if this can be changed.
At some point I would like to see the Raspberry Pi have a CPU that can reach speeds of 1GHZ normally. I know that you can overclock but still would like to see those speeds. I think that Ram is not nearly as big of an issue as the CPU speed as performance is sometimes limited.
Ok I have been setting up my Raspberry Pi Model B Rev 2 and have come upon a small bump in the road. I install chromium from the Raspbian Repos and my install of Java for LibreOffice and other apps cannot access Java Icetea web plugin. How can I configure chrome to be able to access it?
