Re: Improved forked-daapd (iTunes server)

1) Now with the index, the first query counting the distinct albums is the bottleneck. Can this step also easily be accelerated? 2) Can the index magic also be done for the other browse activities (for title, artist, style, composer)? Not sure how to speed up the count, I thought it would have been...

Re: Improved forked-daapd (iTunes server)

Hi ejurgensen, awesome! IMHO you now graduated from "hero" to "master hero" :D I slightly changed your suggestions (path to songs3.db and sudo), here's what I did exactly: sudo sqlite3 /var/cache/forked-daapd/songs3.db .load /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/forked-daapd/forked-daapd-sqlext.so CREATE IND...

Re: Improved forked-daapd (iTunes server)

@ejurgensen: You are my hero :-) :-) :-) Seriously: I've been using firefly/mt-daapd many many years ago with my first Roku Soundbridge. And I find it absolutely awesome that you took up maintaining - and even improving on(!) - it's latest incarnation, forked-daapd. Big big thanks to you!! If I may....

Re: forked-daapd for Raspbian (armhf)

Tried installation from the repos.
Installation runs through incl. all dependencies.
But

Code: Select all

sudo /etc/init.d/forked-daapd start
results in

Code: Select all

ERROR.

Re: Red Power light (PWR) only

Thanks for the hint! One of my SD cards had an old image indeed. Yet the others (4 cards of different sizes and brands) are up to date. Still, I downloaded the latest images Raspbian etc. and reimaged my cards. Same symptom: All working in my old 256MB Pis - but the new Pi only shows the red LED (pr...

Red Power light (PWR) only

Greetings. Yesterday I unpacked my 3rd RaspberryPi (just purchased from RS, 512MB model). I only get the red Power (PWR) to light up - nothing else happens. Using exact same setup as for my 2 other Pis (early 256MB models, one Farnell, one RS) with 1A Power supply (original Apple) and various SD car...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

Hi Max, thanks for the quick answer. The thing is: I'm sitting right next to my Pi. Just don't want to connect more than power and ethernet. This may be the wrong thread, but maybe someone could point me to a solution for this question: How to run Raspbian from a fully encrypted SD card (except for ...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

Hi. I have a probably very basic and very newbie question, so apologies if this question should have been asked before. I have installed Berryboot with disk encryption and have Raspbian Wheezy running on it. All working great so far. However: When I boot the RaspberryPi I need to have a keyboard and...
