request for DOSBOX tutorial

The DOSBOX for RISC OS help file explains how to mount a drive in Linux and Windows but not for RISC OS for some reason. I have seen a couple other people ask the same thing on the forums but there have been no answers that I can find.

Re: Analog Audio XBMC low volume AC3

Volume control already exists. See this post: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=250864#p250864 Maybe you should sudo reboot in the end for good measure. I have mine set to 64% from the default 44%. This is for Raspbian. It seems it won't work with XBMC according to posts above. Sorr...

Re: Raspbmc/Openelec turn volume up?

As far as I can tell there is no volume boost, it only goes up to 0db so the only option this thing gives you is to make the video play quieter. Please someone tell me I'm wrong. The only purpose of XMBC is to play media files and Its blowing my mind that it won't let you amplify the volume let alon...

Re: Analog Audio XBMC low volume AC3

I am also experiencing fairly low volume on my headphones. Is it too much to ask to just have a control to increase the volume?? I just wanna watch a movie

Raspbmc/Openelec turn volume up?

The volume starts at max and I assume you are expected to use speaker volume control to change volume to taste however with headphones there is no volume control and the default maximum 0db is just too low most of the time.

What's the fix?

Re: Another Elite thread

I'd still like a definitive guide to getting the original running on the Pi. I've muddled around some posts and done some Googling but just got more and more confused. How's about a turnkey image, anyone? I found this http://one.xthost.info/zelko/ELITE/index.html which is some sort of remake/port w...

replacing lxde with xfce as default deskt in Raspbian Wheezy

In the Moebius distro I was able to install the xfce4 and have it automatically boot into it as is outlined in volume 3 of The MagPi with sudo nano ~/.bash_profile add: startxfce4 save and quit I have installed xfce4 in Raspbian now and I can start it from the console with startxfce4 when automatic ...

saving text file to usb in Moebius

I am using the minimal Moebius distro (http://moebiuslinux.sourceforge.net/) to try and write a text file from nano to a usb drive so I can bring it to a windows computer. I'm starting from scratch linux-knowledge wise and have been through a few usb mounting tutorials without luck.

Re: 3.5mm jack crackles and pops

It doesn't look like I can get my M-Audio fast track USB soundcard to work so I'm looking into an HDMI to HDMI + audio adapter. Does anyone have recommendation for a product like that?

3.5mm jack crackles and pops

I often hear a clicking, usual a double click, when I open or close some things or boot up or shut down different operating systems or when media files start or stop. Is this a permanent problem? Searching the forum revealed some other people with similar problems but I didn't see any definitive exp...

System 6/7 on Pi?

Has anyone tried getting early macintosh OS like System 6 or 7 or 5 working on Pi?

I haven't got my Pi yet and it will be my first run in with linux so I'm not sure whats all possible or not yet. If getting System 7 on it is possible it would be at the top of the list for things to try.
