I bought an old pentium 4 pc the other day at a garage sale for 7 dollars usd ... :idea: why not use those for slightly budget minded cluster computing ?

Would it be at all possible to use message passing interface from my pi to say - my desktop running vista ? Maybe my open pandora running a variation of angstrom ? I got this idea from that raspberry pi super computer . Please note I mean all this in a theroretical sense as I am new to computing bey...

What ? No that's not what I meant ... I never advocated ( I might have ... Private opinions on the matter of downloading roms from the Internet but what I said ( or at least attempted to say ) was that since the laws governing such practices are very seldom enforced ( at least here , stateside ) it ...

Why would someone EVER buy roms ?! :?: Why not rip your own ? The hard part is getting the Equipment to rip roms . I'm torn between buying a super nice mechanical keyboard for my pi and using that to learn to code , or building a MAME cab for the Pi ... Oh wait ... It only requires one USB port for plugging in a joystick !! I'll use the other one for a moderately nice keyboard !!

Actually I have never built a MAME cab . I want too but I don't think I have the funds ( especially the ripping of the roms , cheaper to build a super gun Jamma as by then I'd still have a metric ton of arcade boards ) and as for being fully licsended : I doubt it .
