Re: Raspi Zero hardly reachable with the hostname

Ok. Now i found the solution.
I have found this article (in German)
https://marcowue.wordpress.com/2012/07/ ... alsch-auf/
I have changed the DHCP IP-Range and now it works with "cam".

So it is a Bug in the FritzBox...

Re: Raspi Zero hardly reachable with the hostname

Hello, i have now installed the Raspian full Image. But the problem is the same. If i use the hostname "cam" it takes more than 20 seconds. If i use the hostname "campi" or any other name with more characters it will work immediately. I cant find any restriction in the minimum length of a hostname. ...

Hello, I'm just trying to set up my new Raspberry Zero. I have changed the hostname but it takes over 20 seconds to get the user prompt in ssh. I have also installed an Apache Web Server. Here is the same problem. It takes over 20 seconds to get the start page. If i use the IP- Address from the rasp...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Another method which may be quite nice as the base config doesn't need to change is to make a link with ln command in the web folder. That way all access is at the linked location rather than in the web folder. This method is used to access the cam.jpg file for previews. The continuously changing j...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

FIrst, don't remove or reduce gpu_mem setting below 128. The GPU is being used to do multiple tasks here and needs that memory. The log is indicating a problem when capture (lapse) is occurring during the boxing operation. Doing both time lapse and motion detection is possible but does put more str...

Re: RPi Cam Web Interface

Hello, buffer is the "Pre-Event Motion Capture Buffer". So the capture starts about 1 second before motion is detected. A very useful feature for me ;) Generally i dont think that it is on overclocking. The raspberry is running otherwise perfect (before this i used it for my Squeezebox Server with t...

Re: Vehicle Speed Camera using openCV, python & picamera

Hello! Thanks for sharing this code! Im at testing. The first thing i found is the speed conversion to KPH. I think you must change the code in line 69 to: speed_conv = px_to_mph / 1.609344 With the Cars on the street it seems to be working good. But i tried to capture also the speed of the trains (...

Re: External HDD spins up every 30 minutes

Hello,

did you find the problem?

I had the same problem. I use Openelec and have no iotop.
Then i have tried to find the problem with:

Code: Select all

while true; do lsof | grep sda; done
And have seen that smartmontools is accessing the drive. I have now deactivated it...and all is well :)

It is not the classic black screen...I do not want to quit Kodi. But Kodi does not respond and i try to restart it. I have even made a few tests. I can not figure out at what point the problem of crashes arises. I can boot up...everything works well. I can play all my Movies and Live TV. If i reboot...

Yes, i run this as root. So can i reboot the machine from the Exit menu.
It makes no difference if i run as root or as user. I cant kill it if does not respond. I tried to kill it as root...

It is important for me that it no longer crashes. So it is not useful for me...

Der Server sorgt dafür, dass die Verbindung zum cec-clien...
