resolv.conf

Hi, after few hour searching and testing i found very strange behaviour of reslofconf command. If you dont change hostname (raspi-config) dns-namservers attribute in /etc/network/interface wouldnt be implemented in /etc/resolv.conf file (very, very strange logic) . Some information about that is wri...

Re: RPi 1 B+ and 2 B+ cases similar?

Hello folks, friend of mine have a 3D printer and can make me a RPi case from some free projects. So my question is the RPi 1 B+ and RPi 2 B+ cases are the same ? Whaat I see from the official site image - it's seems the same: There is NOT a RPi model 2 B+ Though B+ & 2 B are the same except undern...

Re: LED resistor data disparity

Hi, your calculation is O.K. , however nothing in real world isnt black or white, mostly we use grey :) . In most case we want to get same resolute with lowest possible power consumption. For example i mostly use 1K resistor for led that just need to light, and for "must see" LEDs I use 680E. So bas...

Hi, that is feature :), I would like to know what is temperature in case (do we have enough air circulation) and if is needed to "shutdown" RPi. Complete is use for 365/24 system. Re: gpsd failing on boot, but starts manually

Hi all, just for correct information. gpsd come with two way of starting up: 1) automatic start up on boot (START_DAEMON="true") 2) "manually" startup (START_DAEMON="false") All issue in this thread come from badly written documentation of gpsd. One small part is missing automatically detecting GPS ...

Hi,

it is look like that patch will result with 4 1-Wire master (GPIO 4, 21, 22, 23), if you like just that , you are on right way (not so sure that this patch will fork on all RPi type).

Hi all, just update latest kernel 3.18.x introduce new way to use many custom HW pins, including pin for 1-wire. Documentation is available on http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/device-tree.md Slightly more complicated. If you require the external pullup pin, use: "dtoverlay=w1-g...

Re: Can't add more than 2 DS18B20 using GPIO driver

Hi, So, any ideas or insights? Most likely, the problem is capacitance of wires, what is the first limit you typically bump in. This is not specific to RasPi, but a result of non-ideal world we live in. ;-) How you know that , did you see connection picture ? I never have any capacitance problem wi...
