Re: linux kernel module 8192cu

The mainline version of the driver as found in a x86_64 kernel built from mainline git works. The driver that is the rpi tree is not the mainline driver and does not work nor can the dkms module mentioned be built with 3.18.

linux kernel module 8192cu

Hi With the rpi (model B) 3.18.7 for my beklin n300 usb adapter the module 8192cu gets loaded and does not even come close to working. On my x86_64 it loads: cfg80211: Calling CRDA to update world regulatory domain rtl8192cu: Chip version 0x11 rtl8192cu: MAC address: 08:86:3b:f3:b9:74 rtl8192cu: Boa...

Re: Bluetooth: main.conf seems to be ignored

You probably want to use the bluetoothctl program. Works here with arch on both x86 and arm.

3.12 breaks serial console

With 3.12.0 it is impossible to login with the serial console. Here it prompts for the userid which I enter, then it prompts for the password and I enter it. Then things go wrong. After hitting enter the password is echoed to the terminal (eg. I cannot see it when I type. Once I press enter its disp...

Re: ausu bt doogle works in raspbian & arch64 but not arch a

Looks like the solution is simple. The problem started happening in raspbian after the latest firmware update (why this should trigger it I do not know). It looks like the ath3k module must be preloaded. In raspbian in the /etc/modules in arch in /etc/modules-load.d... Looks like the order the modul...

Re: ausu bt doogle works in raspbian & arch64 but not arch a

Of course I looked at the arch bluetooth wiki entry - one of the reason I like arch is that there is a lot of help out there. Here its now enough though... We have three cases: arch amd64 works 3.6.11-1-ARCH bluez-4.101 arch arm fails 3.6.11+ bluez-4.101 raspbian works 3.6.11+ bluez=4.96 In all case...

CMA on 512M pi

Something is not right with CMA on 512M. If I enable cma with the defaults settings my PI is almost unusable (its swaps and the mouse freezes for seconds at a time). Free memory never seems to drop below about 256K - it should drop down to about 8K... If I set gpu_mem_512=112 things work normally. I...

ausu bt doogle works in raspbian & arch64 but not arch arm

I've got an asus bluetooth adapter that reports: Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0cf3:3005 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR3011 Bluetooth It works fine in raspbian (this message is being typed using raspbian via bt). It also works in arch amd64 but not arch arm. In arch arm I either have problems loading firm...

Re: Bluetooth woes - can't pair Speaker

I had the same problem. Solved it by using blueman to pair the speaker. Still have not managed to get any sound out of the speaks though.... There is a bluetooth module for pulseaudio. If I install it I get all sorts of problems. Pavucontrol will briefly show a device but it quickly get dropped and ...

Re: Wireless Keyboard and Mouse

I managed to get an "Apple Wireless Keyboard" and "Apple Magic Mouse" working. The is a lot of crap out there on how to do it. This is what worked here (blueman did NOT work). The advantage of doing it this way is that the keyboard and mouse are available without X. Here they work at boot. Get root ...
