Also is Brisbane and have 2 pi's running 24x7 in non-aircon rooms. Has been damn hot here but the pi's have been happy.
Oh ok, thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I'll do some more testing.

RPi in Australia

Hey everyone! I've been trying to get some PS1 games running on my pi for months. I've tried most if not all the options available (RetroPi, PCSX-Rearmed, etc). I seen videos of people running games at full speed but the best I've been able to get is 80% which is inconsistent. I've tried Arch and Ra...

Re: EMULATORS/ROMS AND COPYRIGHT LAW, THE FACTS!

So if someone tells you something without you asking you're liable?

I guess I can understand if someone is leaving instructions on how to perform illegal acts, but if someone is just saying illegal stuff they have done isn't it all just talk?

Re: EMULATORS/ROMS AND COPYRIGHT LAW, THE FACTS!

I just don't understand the problem regarding talking about ROMS. Fair enough, don't talk about where you get them (although if anyone wants to know, I get mine from http://www.google.com), but just *talking* about using them being taboo? Pure paranoia. yeah TBH I don't understand that either... I ...

Re: EMULATORS/ROMS AND COPYRIGHT LAW, THE FACTS!

Has anyone had any actions taken against them for downloading a ROM? I'm just curious has it ever happened? And if so was the action successful? I know that people downloading movies get cease and desist letters all the time. P.S. I'm a noob when it comes to official terms, I just never learned abou...

Re: EMULATORS/ROMS AND COPYRIGHT LAW, THE FACTS!

While I found this a very interesting read don't think people care they are breaking the law and are probably already aware of it.. Heck I don't care about downloading certain products that cost twice as much here in AUS for DIGITAL COPIES than the rest of the world. That's a load of poo. I reckon t...

Re: Use Raspberry Pi as audio transport + USB DAC

I think to support flac all I did was pacman -S flac or somthing basic like that. This is what the controls look like on my old Symbian phone, I'd imagine you could make up a much swankier control scheme with an android. I'm just using a PuTTy client on my phone for controls. http://www.cerberusmc.n...

Re: Use Raspberry Pi as audio transport + USB DAC

Not too hard getting DAC working, I did it recently and I'm brand spanking new to linux. Though.... I don't remember what I did.. I'll load up my Pi and come back with info. I'm using Archlinux and CMUS as the media player, a great command line player, which I've been controlling over SSH using my p...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

This software it great for testing and messing around with different OS cause you can just clone a clean copy and delete any ones you've messed up beyond recognition. Some things I'm a little confused about though.. - Does each OS have its own space or do they share? - Do you have to change partitio...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

This is great. Seeing if I can get my own OS to work but I have no idea if it will. I only started using linux a few days ago when I got my Rpi Converting from regular to squash from a mounted USB to a mounted usb.. I've learnt a lot of basic linux stuff I didn't know just to get to this point, than...
