Re: rpi4 usb issue

Hi, I'm sure no message from ssh before the crash. Tested a couple of times with a pc connected via eth0. spinning down the hdd is necessary during the day, the night and all those hours when no one is at home. Accessing the hdd via eth0 works without issue, ~30MB/s. I haven't tested to underclock t...

Re: rpi4 usb issue

Hi sora03, the same configuration worked with a rpi2 device. Below few relevant settings I configured /boot/config.txt # Disable the PWR LED dtparam=pwr_led_trigger=none dtparam=pwr_led_activelow=off # Disable the Activity LED dtparam=act_led_trigger=none dtparam=act_led_activelow=off #Disable bluet...

Re: rpi4 usb issue

Hi there, the power supply is the official one. The built in wifi has no external antenna and is slower.
The crash is not always as soon as the hdd starts, sometimes it happens after few minutes.

rpi4 usb issue

Hi all, I've just switch from rpi2 to rpi4. As before a wifi usb dongle and a usb hdd is connected to the new rpi, the hdd has its own power supply. As soon as I access the hdd through the wifi, the rpi crash. I don't have any log because the rpi is headless. what am I missing? is it a kernel issue?...

Re: SD Card Mystery

I've encountered the issue with different kernels. Actually, in my former post I forgot to say that In the same time I changed not only the power supply but also the kernel (from 3.10.* up to 3.12.21). Today I tried a simple test: trying to use a sd card I marked as 'damaged' with new and fresh rasp...

Re: Power management, consume as little as possible

It is worth to know that Model A consumes at least 100mA less than Model B.
In addition, about 20mA can be saved by switching off the hdmi with the following command

Code: Select all

/opt/vc/bin/tvservice -o

Re: TL-WN725N V2, raspbian driver update

Just tested, it works well at least with hostapd.
Online I found more than one repository for that driver, on my side I've been using this https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu
Which source have you used to compile your last version?

Strange behavior with vodafone key 14.4

Dear all, I almost successfully run the a vodafone key 14.4, K3806-Z by using sakis3g scripts. The key works if I plug it when the device is already up. In this case I can see from dmesg that automatically has switched the device from usb_storage to usb_modem. The key doesn't work if the raspberry b...
