Re: BerryBoot Ready Squashed Images

Hi, there is a new Volumio release (Volumio 2 RC1) out since March 26th - downloadable at http://bit.ly/vol2rc1. I tried to squash it as I did successfully with the recent version 1.55 of Volumio. But when it comes to "sudo sed -i 's/^\/dev\/mmcblk/#\0/g' /mnt/etc/fstab", it says: "sed: can't read /...

Re: Motion not working in daemon mode

Syslog is telling me this (so we can find an old "friend" named "ioctl (VIDIOCGCAP): Invalid argument", which I don't know how to solve) Feb 4 10:05:30 raspberrypi motion: [3098440] Processing thread 0 – config file /etc/motion/motion.conf Feb 4 10:05:30 raspberrypi motion: [3098440] Motion 3.2.12 S...

Motion not working in daemon mode

Hello dear Respberry Pi community, I recently installed the Raspberry Pi camera module on a Raspberry Pi B+. I used a freshly installed Raspbian Wheezy. I installed the camera drivers and afterwards I installed "motion". When I start motion normally (no deamon mode), everything works totally fine. A...

Re: Raspbian not booting any longer (while OpenElec does)

I solved it after I got a hint from a friend. I'm really tempted to let you guys guess because the cause is so nasty. But I saw some other people struggling with it, so here is the solution: Regarding my case, it is a mechanical problem. The SD card - although it is the same model as the working one...

Re: Raspbian not booting any longer (while OpenElec does)

Well, I used a totally fresh "install" of Raspbian and it worked fine on another Raspberry Pi. Shouldn't it NOT work there too, if the filesystems were inconsistent?
If I'm wrong, could you please provide me with a step-by-step-guide, what to do on what machine with what SD card?

Raspbian not booting any longer (while OpenElec does)

Dear Raspberry Pi community, I'm currently facing the following phenomenon on my Raspberry Pi Model B Rev. 2 (512 RAM, connected via LAN, HDMI -> Monitor, 1 mouse, 1 keyboard via USB, 2 A power supply): I used it for several month as OpenElec/XBMC media client (OpenElec v. 4.2.1). All the time, the ...

Re: shell_exec refuses to work in PHP

Because it does not work. Even 755 does not work.
I would be happy to be a little more secure at this point but as I mentioned before I am an absolute rights-noob.
Could you think of another solution for the security issue?

Thanks a lot!
That one did it:
sudo chmod 777 /dev/vchiq

Have a nice day!

shell_exec refuses to work in PHP

Dear Raspberry Pi Community, I'd like to call the following raspistill command (to take a picture via the RPI camera) via a file called "photo.php". <?PHP shell_exec("/usr/bin/raspistill -q 100 -br 50 -ex auto -co 20 -sa 20 -mm average -sh 10 -w 380 -h 200 -n -o /var/www/imageembed.jpg"); $filename ...

Get 192khz/24bit working?

Dear Rasperry Pi community as high end hifi enthusiast, I appreciate the sound of flac files using 192khz/24bit quality. What settings/add ons/magic do I have to use, to get my Raspberry Pi (Version B, 512 MB RAM) playing back those files via HDMI? When playing back those files with raspmc, you can ...
