Hi All
Is there such a thing as hdmi monitors/tv that go above 60mhz like 75mhz because i suffer from severe migraine headaches
60mhz makes me have bad head but 75mhz i am ok with. I have a hdmi to vga adapter for my pi zero do a reboot it stops
displaying. So what are my options.

Thank You for the reply Mahjongg. Well i changed the hdmi_drive=2 to get sound over hdmi when i installed LXmusic. Then rebooted screen res changed but in a good way it's now 720p tweaked the overscan and Hopefully that should be it now !! So i am happy for now. Now i can start playing with PI :D Ma...

Well i think i will have to go back to 1024x768 stretched at l lest i can see every thing fine. Just got to hope stuff from pistore works with that resolution or iam stuffed. The worst thing at the moment is why not vga instead off hdmi i have 5 vga monitors so had to buy one with hdmi and does not ...

I now have put memory split in config.txt not sure how tell if working.
I managed to get it to 1080i and fit's the whole screen but guess what back to square 1 the writing is very small barely readable !!

Well i thought my screen settings were right until i tried raspbmc that used all my screen then saw the res it's 1920x1080p @60hz so how can't i get this on raspbian :cry: raspbian screen settings are 1024x768 streched that's the best i can get it now where near correct res. qmmp command not found. the problem i have is no internet on the pi cant get wifi to work ,to far for a ethernet cable. So way is a video or Mp3 player not included as standard.

Solved it at last
Well i changed to this in the config.txt
hdmi_mode=16
hdmi_group=2.
and it worked now got full screen it is as it should be now

Still no closer. Now my sd card slot is getting loose it been in and out that many time's.
I have now had enough of this crap untill some is kind enough to give me their working config
for a hd tv so i can compare the 2 so i can see what's happening then my pi is out off use.

Why do you have to redo the card to change overscan? I dont know how to change overscan You need to change the mode to get a different resolution/text size How do i do that. You should be able to just plug the card into a PC running Linux/Windows/OSX or whatever and edit the config.txt file. It will...

Well still no closer disabled overscan went off the edge of the tv but guess what the writing is still to small to read. I can see a lot of newbie's like me getting annoyed at this why is it not automatic :cry: P.S Now to re enable overscan i got re do the sd card again .4 hour's later still no dece...
