We've uploaded a Raspbian Jessie image based on upgrading the Wheezy image with official Jessie repositories here: http://gnutoolchains.com/raspberry/jessie/
This should save some time for you folks, as the dist-upgrade process took a while. Hope this helps.

Please try using the WinFlashTool (http://winflashtool.sysprogs.com/). It checks for the most common errors and should be able to write your image.

Hi, You can use it for C development as well. It uses GCC/GDB/Make as the backend, so you can really tweak it to suit your needs.
