High Performance Temperatur Visualisation

Hi guys, i plan to create a Thermal Monitor. Short prequel: I get these Data from a MLX90620 (4*16 Array) and should be updated about 2-5 times/s (Sensor is able to go up to 200Hz) and it is saved into an std::Vec[4][16] (The calculation is another bottleneck, but this is another story). To make thi...

Re: Problem reading RAM with I2C (MLX90620)

So, i found another finished Code which even use ioctl, and I got the same Issue: eeProm readable. The rest, leads to an I/O Error. (same as ngy mentioned) So my current thoughts: *)As ngy mentioned: The Raspi lacks in fully I2C compatibility (Linux raspi2 3.10.28+ #632 PREEMPT Tue Jan 28 18:42:43 G...

Re: Problem reading RAM with I2C (MLX90620)

Thanx Daniel, i think, i simple build an "not-so random Generator" -.- The curious thing is this one: If i send both messages as in your examples i receive an Error. So i suppose the error in my Receiving part. Here is the Diagram: Reading.jpg And the code: struct i2c_rdwr_ioctl_data work_queue; str...

Re: Problem reading RAM with I2C (MLX90620)

Hey thanks, for that fast answer. I just compiled your code, and after inserting #include <stdlib.h> #include <sys/ioctl.h> i'm able to run both of your Codes: The i2c_check give me the same results. The modified code throws me Opening device /dev/i2c-1... ioctl() I2C_RDWR failed: Input/output error...

Re: How to change I2C address - MPU-6050 sensor

i don't read a datasheet, but i think, like in other i2C Chips, the addresses are set by hardware, (AD0, AD1). i would suggest PCA9546 as switch. i didn't used it recently, but i already plan to use it for my 20 TMP006 Sensors(6 diff adresses). Another Trick: use Small uCs (AVR, atmega8) to read the...

Re: RPi Powered LED Cubes!

i even create a 8x8x8 LED Cube. However its a very Slow-progress-Project, cause i have something more important in my freetime ;D. Some things that i can tell you: i use a AtMega 32 uC (i like the Mega Series). i bought blue ultra bright Led per ebay (600 LEDS, 60 €), you have 3 propabilities: 1)buy...
