USB gamepad adapter issues

Hi I have a few USB gamepad adapters that have button issues, specifically the down/right d-pad buttons. Here is the USB adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Gtron-Controller-Adapter-Converter/dp/B002WM17JC These adapters work flawlessly on Windows (XP, 7, 8), but on a Macbook (10.8) or Linux (Ub...

Share external hard drives over NFS?

Hi I'm new to Linux and I'm having trouble sharing two external NTFS partitioned drives over NFS. Currently I have them shared over Samba using a guide I found online but I keep reading NFS provides better performance for streaming media. The only guide I was able to find was in Spanish and Google t...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Can someone with an SNES controller let me know what values retroarch-joyconfig shows for the D-pad? I've tried configuring it multiple times and I'm don't know what I'm doing wrong but it's binding up to up/right, down to down/left. I've tried two controllers and two USB adapters (same brand, this...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Thanks for the help Aloshi! Got it working from the binary install, had to install to /home/root all the paths in the config files it outputs point to /home/user. I didn't need to use the file path fix but I did have to add the sound module for emulationstation to start. Root seems to have two folde...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Had this installed on my first Pi, just got a 2nd one to use a dedicated console and I'm having a lot of trouble compiling it. Using a fresh install (today) of both Raspbian and the RetroPie script. I hate to hammer off a ton of questions but can anyone answer the following? Is there a suggested ord...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Loving the progress on this thanks to everyone involved :D I tried using the auto-start option in the config script but it doesn't seem to work? I get an error message saying unable to initialize SDL and it drops to the prompt. If I type sudo emulationstation from the prompt it works. I auto-login t...

Re: Bluetooth Keyboard in XBMC on Raspbmc

Thanks for the reply Dilligaf. Unfortunately the timeout trick didn't work. The only way I can get the keyboard to work is to boot the Pi with a USB keyboard plugged in. When I exit XBMC via the menu/esc, I can use bluez-test-input connect (typing on the USB keyboard) to get the Bluetooth keyboard w...

Bluetooth Keyboard in XBMC on Raspbmc

Got my Pi today and installed Raspbmc using their installer. Using this guide I was able to pair a Bluetooth keyboard with my Pi: http://www.ctheroux.com/2012/08/a-step-by-step-guide-to-setup-a-bluetooth-keyboard-and-mouse-on-the-raspberry-pi/ XBMC doesn't seem to respond to any key presses? It seem...

Re: RetroPie Setup - Auto-installer/updater for RetroArch ga

Has anyone tried using this installer on XBian? I'm assuming you'd need to compile the source vs. using binaries? I'm getting a Pi for Christmas so I've been collecting info on the setup I want to build, headless XBMC + Retro emulators and a lot of people have recommended XBian over Raspbian for spe...
