Anyone in Connecticut?

I would like to attend/set up a Raspberry Jam in Connecticut. Who else would like to who lives in Connecticut or surrounding areas?

Re: [Serial] Send tty to Arduino?

If you swap console=ttyAMA0 console=tty1, the init scripts will write to the UART instead of HDMI. Interesting. I will try that when I get home. What will happen if I try to startx? Will it send the GUI data to the arduino? Also, if the login prompt can only display on one console, why does it appe...

Re: [Serial] Send tty to Arduino?

It might be that 115K is a bit too high. Very high baud rates are difficult to derive from "low" frequency oscillators like on the Arduino. I suggest you start with a bit lower frequency. Okay, I made ttyAMA0 run at 9600 baud, but I still lose stuff. It doesn't seem like a bad connection, as I rece...

Re: [Serial] Send tty to Arduino?

Yup, that fixed it. The Pi is set to 115200 baud. Thanks!

Edit: It seems that a couple of characters are lost in communication, and the

Code: Select all

raspberrypi login:
prompt never even comes up on the Arduino's display. Is there a way to fix this?

[Serial] Send tty to Arduino?

I am trying to print my Pi's console (tty1, specifically) to this screen that I hooked up to my Arduino Uno V3. I hooked the Pi's Tx pin to the Arduino's Rx pin via this level shifter . Here is the code I uploaded to the Arduino: http://pastebin.com/nCHKRYDd . I have tested it out with the Serial Co...

[MCPI] Redstone simulator, DEFINITELY!

Hi all! UPDATE: I have fully debugged the code and it should work now. The stuff in the non-working list still doesn't work, though. UPDATE 2: Now activated dust and lamps will turn off when there are no adjacent glowing obsidian or power source blocks. I have been working hard trying to get somethi...

Expansion upon Baking PI?

I am just recently getting back into Bare Metal assembly after reading about the bare metal chess in the news section. I was wondering if it was possible to use the assembler in Baking Pi to do some more advanced things, such as sound, storage, RAM access (so I have more memory than just the 7 or so...

CUPS on RISC OS?

Hey guys, I would like to set up a CUPS server on RISC OS, like the one in this tutorial: http://www.enterprisenetworkingplanet.com/windows/article.php/3621876/Push-Windows-Printer-Drivers-with-CUPS.htm (This did work on Raspbian.) Basically, I want a basic server that auto-distributes the drivers f...

Re: help with undefined references

See for example http://www.learncpp.com/cpp-tutorial/811-static-member-variables/ . Normally, you 'd put something like pLInv LinkedInventory::pHead; in your cpp-file (you can initialize it directly there or do it somewhere else). You need to do this for every class variable (like size and items )....

help with undefined references

Hi, I am coding a text-adventure game in C++, but I am getting an error that there is an "undefined reference" to Players::LinkedInventory::pHead, when calling it from the constructor. pHead is of type static LinkedInventory* and is an array without a defined limit. I am defining the constructor fun...

i think that might help, but just to clear it up... signup.php <?php $form=file_get_contents("./signupform.txt"); $error="Invalid username!"; echo $form; ?> signupform.txt <form> ... </form> <p> $error </p> in theory, the string "Invalid username" should substitute in where $error is in signupform.t...

PHP file help

i am using lighttpd with php5. when i include a file in php with either include or require, it would not find the file. i am saying "include /php_func/http_req.php;" i would expect this to see "/php_func" as "/var/www/php_func", as it is running on the webserver. instead, it sees the "/" directory a...

Re: does sqlite support multiple tbles?

by multi-user, i mean that it just stores the username, password, etc for the users, not in the sense of multiple system users accessing the database. e.g like the database of all the users on this forum.

does sqlite support multiple tbles?

the title says it all. no need for multiple databases or multiple users. i just need a basic, lightweight database manager capable of handling blog posts and user logins (users on the site, not on the pi) cuz mysql uses 16.6% of my ram, according to top. if you know how to dramatically reduce mysql ...

Ok, I got it working. the reason it did not work was because i did not specify that the Minecraft class was in minecraft.py, so in order to actually define the 'mc' variable, i had to do: mc = minecraft.Minecraft.create() but since i already imported minecraft.py, i thought i didnt have to specify t...

actually, i think that getting the keyboard driver to work should be before those other two. for reference, my keyboard is by apple :( Model #: A1048. where would i find the keyboard driver in the OS template to edit, anyway?
