Re: Reading Audio stream for FFT

Could you tell me the number of 1024 element real FFT's per second you believe you are able to get from NumPy? Might you have a similar number of 4096 element FFT's? Interesting question. I doubled the chunk size until I got 'smooth' audio (no clicks as the stream was interrupted) without paying to...

Hi,

Does there exist a 3D object model for the RPI logo?

Hard to know what he meant - we're both right :)

Re: Using laptop as a monitor

Thank you. And how do I actually physically connect the raspi to the laptop? with a hdmi lead or something? Installing TightVNC as suggested will enable you to have a VNC (virtual network console) running on your PI. Think of it this way (simplified): the VNC server (the PI) sends screen grabs to t...

Re: Lightweight graphics library

Hi Davorin, I would be pleasantly surprised if there were a single package that did all that you ask. The imaging portion is commonly found but imaging packages typically don't speak GPIO. Here is a link to a discussion on using GIMP on the PI: http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5...

HP 9820 and IBM 1130

First program was something like:
10 print "Enter a number: "
20 input
30 print "Wrong!"
40 goto 10

My classmates spent hours trying to guess the number.

offering bounty for port of freeglut

Hi, I looked into porting freeglut 2.8 to the pi. It can certainly be done but better to be done with fresher Linux skills than my own. My contribution is therefore better made in the form of cash. I offer a bounty of a small number of hundreds of dollars for a gles2 modified freeglut 2.8 or later. ...

Re: Bug in GL ES shader stack

Thank you. Unrelated but i would like to spread the word - I am offering a bounty of a small number of hundreds of dollars for a freeglut port. I hoped to do this myself but find in this instance my biggest contribution would be in providing incentive for a person more skilled than I. All of my teac...

Re: heat / power / OS related crashes?

At this point I consider my issues completely solved by a) changing USB cable and b) increasing voltage to the HDMI interface. Performance has been rock solid for days now. For my part, this thread can be "closed."

Thanks to all

Re: Object Disappearance with rotation

Hi, I have not looked at your code (and won't have time) but I can offer you advice based on debugging hundreds of student projects. Things disappear for common reasons: 1) OpenGL fails silently - once it fails it just stops drawing until some future time. Prove that you have not caused a GL error b...

I have updated the application still located at the dropbox address.

The shaders are now more costly as they implement the per-fragment ADS model (Phong shading).

One more question - how should one shop for an appropriate USB cable? I haven't seen words like "high current capacity", "heavy duty" or even "high quality" used in describing such cables - they all seem to be commodity items.
