In case anyone comes by this tread looking to fix a problem with Win32diskimager READING an SD card to perform a backup and getting a CRC error, the SD card may need an fsck. Put the card back in the Pi, boot it, then:

shutdown -rF now

This will force an fsck and might fix the CRC error.
