Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

I've got Squeezeplug running beautifully now - just a a wired LMS server so no wifi or player issues! One of my players (a Joggler running Squeezeplay OS) supports 24/96 files which I have playing reliably (listening to REM in their full glory right now!) However, my other players only support 16/44...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Hi, total noob here, hoping to be able to make use of this in the future! Are there any install/setup videos for the PI that i can watch to see exactly what is involved? Many thanks Yes, Thomas has a video on his site http://www.squeezeplug.eu/ - it's for the older version and some menu items have ...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Thomas Just a small bit of feedback....not much to say as it all worked! I find that burning the image works more reliably using win32diskimager rather than the one you suggest. Scan time for about 50k tracks (on an attached 2.5" usb drive) was about 5 1/2 hours which I though pretty good. Spotify (...

Very exciting! Many thanks for all your hard work Thomas - donation it's way very soon.
Now I'm just waiting for the download link for the softfloat version to appear on your blog :-)

I believe there are some significant improvements - the thing I'm most excited about are the soft/hard float options - I miss spotify!

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Thanks Thomas, like a lot of people here I'm really looking forward to this. Having said that, I also really appreciate all the work you're putting into this and hope you'll also take plenty of time off to be with your loved ones. As important as this is, other things come first! Have a wonderful ho...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

I'm wondering about the possibility of playing 24/96 flac files using a rpi with squeezelite and an external usb dac? I wouldn't use the same rpi as the server - just dedicate one to playback. Does anyone do it and does it work? Or am I in the wring place for this question?!

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

One thing that I'm realizing that I'll miss coming from Vortexbox (other than the CD auto-ripping, which I rarely used!) is the incremental media backup to a second external USB HDD. I guess I can learn a bit about Linux and do something from the putty command line, but if it was possible to add so...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

@all guys with that problem, are you using version 5.05 (the latest update) before you've installed LMS?
I am - started with 5.0, installed LMS, upgraded to 5.05, reinstalled LMS.

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Seems like the best way to go, SD cards are so cheap that a larger Flash footprint shouldn't be too concerning for most. I suppose ideally you could offer a complete canned image for downloading onto an SD Card as you do today, and also the additional Squeezeplug content as an installable APT packa...

Got this setup perfectly, but I don't seem to be able to access the web interface at squeezeplug:9000 or <ip>:9000. Anyone has any idea why this is happening? I had the same thing...had to reboot the Rpi twice from the putty interface before it was seen. Repowering didn't seem to reboot in the same...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

I'm more than happy do do some beta testing on hard vs soft float for Spotify. I've just got LMS running with no problem at all on a RPi B (512). I've been running Squeeze/LMS for some years, most recently on an old SSD netbook using Vortexbox, but looking forward to the low power consumption of the...
