Re: R-Pi Works for a couple minutes, then USB quits.

Anyone who has this problem should do the following to fix it:
1.) Unplug the pi.
2.) Take a deep breath, then sigh.
3.) Put the pi in the box it came in, and return it.
4.)Wait for a new one.

I got a second one and it works great.

Re: Steady RED light after few minutes

Today I was looking through a box of trash for the box my defective Pi came in so I could return it, when there was a knock at my door. I went out there and there was a package on the steps, I opened it and it was a raspberry pi... I have no idea why it was sent to my house... The only thing I can t...

Re: Steady RED light after few minutes

sorry I'm cranky in the morning and I was frustrated that thing didn't work. the forum is far from useless on the subject. if this happens to your chances are defective board like Joan said. send it back ASAP because you'll have to wait another couple weeks to get another one. I cant wait. I love yo...

Re: Steady RED light after few minutes

That was sarcasm. This forum seems almost useless on this subject. Its not a power issue, its obviously a defective unit. No matter what, people will say its a power issue. Even if i spilled water on it someone would make a post about.the power supply. Its not a power issue, its raspberry pi trying ...

Re: Steady RED light after few minutes

I think he was just trying to say there is no activity light blinking. Just the red power light, staring at you, saying "I'm a raspberry pi, and I seem to be working fine except for the fact that you can't use my usb after about 1-3 minutes, I hope you enjoyed typing your password in, check out my d...

Re: Steady RED light after few minutes

Hey, if you have an LED mouse, flip it over and watch what the light does. If it turns off for a second then turns on, then turns off, then turns back on, but eventually stays off, then you and I and at least one other person here are having the same problem. Check out my posts if you're interested....

Re: R-Pi Works for a couple minutes, then USB quits.

The voltage between TP1 and TP2 is 4.9Vdc when the pi isn't doing anything, when it's booting up or thinking it's at 4.8. When the usb goes out it goes up to 4.9 - 5, it comes back on for a couple seconds, then it turns back off. Eventually it will go up to 5.1, and that's when you know it gave up, ...

Re: Internal USB Hub resetting

I'm having the same issue. The Pi will work fine for 1-5 minutes, then the usb goes out for a couple seconds, then it comes back, it will work for a couple seconds and go again, eventually it won't come back on. I kept restarting it and measuring voltage at tp1 and tp2 while it did this on then off ...

R-Pi Works for a couple minutes, then USB quits.

I just bought a R-Pi, today I tried to use it and it works for a minute or two then the USB quit, but the display stays, and the pi seems to be running fine. The terminal prompt continues to blink. I figured my mouse and keyboard were power hogs or something so I bought a powered usb hub. The same t...
