Re: Security issues in OpenVPN package

Compile it yourself it's quite easy: Get the tarball from the openvpn website, untar and enter its directory Install the usual build packages, including cmake, also install the latest openssl (manually get them from one of the mirror repositories ), install liblzo2-dev, liblz4, liblz4-dev ./configur...

Re: Realtek RTL8192EU ID 0BDA:818B

Many many thanks Sir, For posterity, my pi zero is showing the following as a result of "uname -a" Linux XXHOSTNAMEXX 4.1.18+ #845 Thu Feb 18 19:37:13 GMT 2016 armv6l GNU/Linux The "githash" from /boot/.firmware_revision is: 68febe187617906637e0ac71b0c8b8f581f10078 I believe (although I am no expert...

Re: Ubuntu / Linaro for Raspberry Pi 2

Raspi-config appears to replace my config.txt with a 0byte file.. I would personally use it with extreme caution.. I haven't done any testing In great deal to see exactly what caused it

Re: rpi sd card builder

Please be more specific with the error message in OS X... OS X is my 3rd operating system of choice so I might be a little rusty but are you referring to a message that says something along the lines of "cannot open because x is from an unknown developer" ? If so I'm pretty certain right clicking th...

Re: Ubuntu / Linaro for Raspberry Pi 2

Does ntpd only poll for the correct time at boot? If so is this normal behaviour? I just power cycled my cable modem (although not the router connected to it that is the DHCP server) and my Pi2 with your build. The pi came online before the cable modem so acquired a LAN IP (although no WLAN connecti...

Re: PI 2 heatsinks

Without getting Into the merits or non merits of heatsinks, I think the idea of the 3 pack of heatsinks was for the original model B, one on the SOC, one on the LAN controller and one on RG2 the 3.3v voltage regulator (the three red spots on this image) http://www.tooms.dk/tblog/foto/rpiblog1test1ir...

Re: Ubuntu / Linaro for Raspberry Pi 2

One caveat, as the image is, if you use your micro-sd card in more than one RaspberryPi2, udev will change eth0 to eth1 based on the new LAN MAC address (this is disabled in raspbian) which will cause any static IP addresses assigned to eth0 to not be assigned (there will be no eth0) I believe you c...

Re: isc-dhcp-server wont boot on startup

Discard Adafruit's instructions I flagged a while ago to them that isc-dhcp-server simply didn't work for me.. I Use dnsmasq instead I wrote the following script ( http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=rLA4F2tJ )to automate the OnionPi setup, modified for dnsmasq in response to https://github.com/grugq/PORT...
