Re: Watch the birdies

Is there something that needs to run on the receiving Pi to allow the stream?

On the sender I am getting "nc: connect to <ip> port 5001 (tcp) failed, connection refused

Thoughts?

Re: Lightweight battery?

Thanks, I see lots of warnings about lipo batteries catching fire and all - how do I make sure I get the right charger for the battery?

Re: Lightweight battery?

Thanks, I think I've found the equivalent battery in the US.

Would this unit work for stepping down the voltage from 7.4v to 5v?

Lightweight battery?

I'm trying to power a model A with a camera and stream some video over Wifi. I have some weight contraints and need to find a battery that weighs somewhere less than 1.5 ounces (42 g).

I only need to power the Pi for 20 minutes to a half hour between recharges/replacements.

Thoughts?

Extension cable for GPIO pins?

I'm looking for an extension cable for the GPIO pins. I need one with male connector on one end and female connector on other.

I have the PI Matrix LED display but it only fits on the Pi when it is out of the case.

Does anyone have a source shipping to US?

Thanks!

Re: Running the Pi with batteries?

I am working on a project that has a weight budget for batteries and Pi to be around 2-3 ounces. I am thinking about using 4 AAA batteries and the regulator below for power. I don't need the Pi to run for more than an hour or so. Can anyone comment on the suitability of this regulator on eBay? Not s...

Re: Introduce yourself!

I'm Gregor.

Been writing code since the days of a teletype terminal with paper tape.

Saw the Pi on a webpage and immediately had to have one.

Very interested in streaming video from mobile platforms.

Would be interested in seeing this.
