Re: BBC Radio-4-Matic

I like this project very much. I worked on actual Roberts DABs back in the day, and I could have done so much more if the core had been Raspis (or even just ARMs). The RD-22 would have been an easier project with a bigger core. Anyway brilliant stuff with such an original idea.

Re: A long wait.

You're happy as Larry,
now you have your Pi.
You'll be happy forever,
I would never lie.

Load in a distro,
install a few apps.
You're now part of a family,
closing the generation gap.

He he, happiness is a Raspberry Pi.

I really like that. Very nice looking. Will it be available? I'd certainly buy one.

RE: music rights A friend ran into some of this when making a short film. The rights to use a particular song was free (as in beer). So they went for it. Then they found that the recording they used was NOT free. So they set up a kickstarter-like site and raised the requisite payment in a few days....

Re: Wanted: Monty Mole

Well, I've started to go back into my code and update the CVS source. The project is available on SourceForge: https://sourceforge.net/projects/montymole/ where you can download sources, subscribe and get updates. This requires libSDL and libSDL-image to be installed. I've also uploaded a tar file o...

Re: Wanted: Monty Mole

Good point Rurwin. I can't even remember where I got it from, so maybe not. I'm not very musical, but maybe in this big huge RasPi community there is a musician who wants some small fame on a game? :) A guy I worked with years ago did me his own version of popcorn for my Pyjamarama remake. Boy that ...

Funny you should say that. I found an MP3 of Colonel Bogey and added that into the background, a lon time ago. However the music bombed out on last nights build, so I need to check that out. But hopefully the answer should be Yes! :)

Wanted: Monty Mole

Hey hey, I've just managed to get my really, really old, unfinished project 'Monty Mole Remake' (see http://montymole.sourceforge.net/index.html ) compiled on my shiny new Pi. I started this in Y2K and never really got around to finishing it. The code is embarrassingly old hap and very badly formed ...

Re: RISC-OS / BBC user group

Oh, that is perfect Chris. I'm thinking that it wont purely focus on RISCO-OS, but be generic Raspberry stuff. But I would definitely have RISC-OS on the agender. Just for pure misty eyed nostalga. Having a dead A3000 in my loft (sob) it would give me a good excuse to buy another one from ebay. Bour...

I wouldn't mind getting people together in the Epsom/Ewell area. Are there many Pi fans around here?

I got into about 22 minutes of Lawnmower man 2, the other night, before switching off... I think that beats PoP hands down for 'crappness' and terrible acting.

I had a 'man-storage' once. When I last moved, I was so worried about the movers breaking my precious stored man things (8 bit stuff/ PC stuff etc.) that I hired a storage for a few months and moved my whole loft into it. Fabulous, wish I could still afford it

Since we are all very keen to buy a Raspberry, does that make us 'Pi-eyed'?

How many mickles make a pi?
