Re: New Raspberry Pi 3 B+ won't boot

My laptop is relatively new, 3 years top. I doubt it has problems writing files bigger
unless it says it is SDHC it may just be SD
I've seen this on new machines [I've not tried a lot of lappies]

if you use etcher then it will say if ther is an issue get a cheap usb micro sdcard adaptor

Re: Raspberry Pi 3 B+ lockups

We expect to fix the huge huge majority with a software fix. And considering that the problem is only a small percentage of SoC's anyway, that should be almost, if not absolutely, everyone. We did update the apt kernels etc today, so anyone with the problem might like to try an apt update/upgrade t...

Re: how to run rtl_fm from a bash script

you need to put it in the background
so
rtl_fm -M am -f 100M s- 10k -g 20 &
note the & at the end of the command
this makes it go in the background

rsync -ax / /other/device
followed by a
cp /boot /other/device/boot

or similar
dd is not the best tool for this

Re: Pi 3 not booting anymore. sd card and PSU are okay.

^ probably means you are not getting the correct info from the hdmi monitor when the PI boots,
try forcing the correct resolution in the correct /boot/config.txt file

Re: Cheap Raspberry Pi Screen

if you want to use any form of the GPu then you will need to use a rca / hdmi screen , or dsi ,
gpio screens will not cut the biscuit for speed [YMMV]

Re: No preview on lcd

unless you are using the hdmi or rca you will not see the camera preview without writing code to move the image to it , as the preview is done via the gpu for the main display
