personally I'd push direct to the PC
from the RPI
rsync --avr --progress --include='*.jpg' --exclude='*' user@remote.pc:target
assuming your PC can receive files via ssh
or use wiscp on the PC to grab off the rpi across the network

use systemd
it will teach you a lot
if you really want to do it the bad way then either use
cron or
rc.local or
auto login your acocutn and .bashrc or
init.d scripts or
some other random method that will stop working and behave differently later

shorting 5V to 3V will kill it instantly - no polyfuse will help

edit the .bashrc file or have other stuff to indicate that you dont want to run i.e. put a sleep in the command to wait a bit then if you ctrl-c when that is running it will cancel the script [so if your not headless it will stop on ctrl-c if it is headless it will continue after the sleep and pleas...

does it appear on the network i.e. can you ping it ? take the sdcard on one of the other RPi's , update it [sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y ] stuff it in dead machine - what happens ? or take a new raspbian get it updated and booting on an other RPi then move that sdc ard to the ?dead...

This is because there is a reservation in my router to hand out address x.y.z.173 to this unit, but since that is based on MAC address it got a different address from the pool. I need it to be changed to the original reserved ...

..., even though this was NOT the case on ANY other system I owned, including several other arm processors. maybe they paid upfront the cost to the licence holders and charge you in the cost of the SOC So, as you can see, after Jan 2018, the agreement can be voluntarily terminated on 30 days notice...
