don't put mount commands in rc.lcoal - use the systemd.service system for mounting things after the network has come up

Nice idea but not so easy.

In a PoE system the voltage coming down the ethernet cable is much higher than 5v. More like 20, 30 or 40. I forget what exactly.
....
48V
I assume that this is left over from the old POTS telephone line as BT used to use 48V DC supply down the line IIRC

Re: Adding PATH for python?

to do what you want - but this is not what you should,
in .bashrc add at the end
declare -x PATH=./:$PATH
but don't do it you'll end up with a messed up system and things wont work on other systems

WHS ^ though :-

if you want to completely protect the data on a SDcard then you need a hardware solution all other methods are not secure on a RPI.

Re: Audio popping and cutting at HDMI output

first off see if the problem is not there with a new install
then we'll get to the more psychic method of fixing something that we dont have easy access to ..

1) see if there is a real problem
2) then we can maybe see how to progress

Re: Audio popping and cutting at HDMI output

start with a new micro sdcard and a fresh raspbian [latest]
does it work OK ...
now add one by one the things you use - make sure it works fine after each one - take plenty of backups as you go ...

job done....
