Changed cable, TV, Monitor, etc. It's working I can access it over SSH, changed the config.txt file (force hotplug enabled and hdmi boost too). New SD card with fresh image of Rasbian and same...

Re: WIFI Dongle Edimax EW7811UN not working after last updat

Think I've found a fix for it. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install libnl-genl-3-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev git clone https://github.com/lostincynicism/hostapd-rtl8188.git cd hostapd-rtl8188 cd hostapd sudo make sudo make install cd .. sudo mv hostapd /usr/sbin/hostapd.rtl8188...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero no display

Changed power supply 3 times! Changed the config.txt and without booting I couldn't connect it to wifi to ssh onto the pi. I was at my wits end! The mini HDMI adapter I have works for my camera at home, so I presumed it was ok, but I tried a mini-HDMI to HDMI cable this morning and it all worked. Th...

Re: Raspberry Pi Zero no display

Sorry it should've read that the RCA cable works. I have an RCA cable with one end stripped and some connectors soldered to it. I've used it to test small cameras for UAVs. Works fine. Soldered on a header to the zero and connected it as I would with a camera but nothing displays

Raspberry Pi Zero no display

Howdy all, I bought a raspberry pi zero 1.3 last week. Finally got around to testing it today and I tried with Rasbian (newest version) and Noobs (newest version) on an SD card that works with my raspberry pi B2 and B+. The LED flickers as if its booting but I'm not getting anything on the HDMI. I t...

Re: Orderly shutdown your RasPi using a hard disk jumper

So, if I understand correctly, instead of a jumper, I could wire in a momentary switch? And is there a way to connect an LED to some of the pins to see if the Raspberry is shutdown? I cannot see the raspberry in my situation. This is my version of the code, with two LEDs one is faded when the Pi ha...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board

Just got it working there. Different memory card and no overclocking. Same setup as always though, maybe it was the overclocking settings!? I'm going to go back and check the old memory card I was using and see if disabling the overclock works. Thanks again for your help.

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board

I boot up without a display (only the TFT) and SSH onto the Pi and run it that way. Had to start off with a screen to enable SSH but once that was done I've been using SSH to make all the changes and run all the scripts. Most of the time with something like this it's something small and silly that I...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board

still no joy. Tried that update (thanks for that, didnt spot that this morning). Retyped the code and went through it with a fine tooth comb. Still just a blank screen, it will read the touch positions and print them, but the screen is blank. Would it make a difference if I set up rasbian to boot to...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board

Hi, that is strange - are there no error messages when running the program? How are you running it exactly? Texy No errors, I did notice that on the odd occasion there is a single line of pixels in multiple colours at the top of the display. I checked the code and it seems fine. Just run it as sudo...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board

Thanks again for this texy, appreciate all the effort and support. Everything works fine except pygame. Tried your script and a number of others and it just appears blank (or white). Set up from scratch with Noobs 1.3 and a fresh image of the latest rasbian and same situation. Everything else works ...

Re: Berryboot v1.1 - Boot menu / OS installer

Any idea if it's possible to extend the berryboot OS selection time? I'd like to extend it from 3 seconds to 10 seconds. I'm running it on an old monitor that takes a bit to warm up. Actually forget that, I found the post that said it was hardcoded. If it does change though it would be a great litt...

Re: Backup SD

What you could do is us gparted and rsync too. Use Gparted or any partition maker, create the partitions the similar to the original. sudo rsync -av /media/pathtoSDcardPartition1/* /media/pathtonewSDcardPartition1/ I just gave it a bash there on a 3.8 gb sd card down to a 3.7 gb sd card and it works...
