Hi Basically I think that the HDMI will do the handshake via the TV, so in that case you should get only stereo via toslink. But if you force the edid audio (config.txt) than the Raspberry will passtrough anyway the ac3,dts so you should get it out from the toslink. But in my experience my TV in the...

A few points: - Fanart works fine. Just make sure you have a fast SD card, or better yet, install to a fast USB stick. - Airplay works fine. I use this feature a lot with my iPhone and an iPad.
