bonalybob wrote:How do you add the hotword? Has anybody tried it?
I just gave it a quick try (on pi3) and it works like a champ. I haven't integrated it with the LED blinker or the automatic start scripts but that shouldn't be too hard.

Re: High CPU level

Don't use the "system info" screen to measure cpu. Log in and use 'top' instead, for example: %Cpu(s): 22.1 us, 1.3 sy, 0.0 ni, 76.2 id, 0.0 wa, 0.0 hi, 0.3 si, 0.0 st Raspbmc, idle, currently running at 840mhz: pi@raspbmc:~$ cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq 840000

Re: F2FS

First problem with a straight copy fo f2fs-root is lack of fsck. (Creating a noop fsck.f2fs shell script works.) The other problem is that you can't have swapfile on f2fs so if you want swap you need to create a partition.

F2FS

Just in case anyone was curious, I've been messing with f2fs on pi for a few days now. With the most recent set of patches (report used inodes as a positive number, for example) it seems ready for experimental prime-time. I did a bit of copying here and there, speeds on media files (treated as 'cold...

Re: Raspberry Pi doesn't stay powered up for long.

At the moment, I've overclocked to Medium Level (900 MHz ARM) with raspi-config. Why not use it ? The 1ghz mode in raspi-config kept corrupting my SD card, was very flakey. axion built me that config to run at 1ghz and it's been absolutely rock solid :) ..so it does exactly what it says on the warn...

Re: Copy SD card O/S

Hi, After having successfully done it (not without problems), is it possible to just clone the memory card ie stick it in my laptop card reader and write it to a card reader in another USB slot. There is nothing inherently wrong with doing that, but be sure to use a DD tool (same tool you used to w...

Re: F2FS

Did you ever give it a try? (I would love to but I'm having issues getting modules to build for the stock kernel.)

Re: Raspberry Pi doesn't stay powered up for long.

The first thing to check is your power supply. http://www.elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshoot ... booting_up

If that has been vetted as really good (not just "passable") it might be related to this..

Re: Raspberry Pi doesn't stay powered up for long.

MCM contacted me separately and asked what I had tried - evidently I'd covered everything already, so they asked me to send it back and they'd cover shipping. (Looks like they decided to cross-ship, so they will pass in transit.)

Re: Raspberry Pi doesn't stay powered up for long.

"Me too". I got 2 from MCM a couple of weeks ago. One works fine still, but the other fails after a minute or so. I'll get the numbers off it this evening when I get home and update this post. Can't find a way to edit but I have the numbers. (And F3 is reading 0.4ohms, both seconds after the pi shu...

Re: mmc0: Controller never released inhibit bit(s)

FWIW I am getting the same errors with two brand new Maxell "maxdata" 8g class 10 cards. I may have to return them and get something else :/ (They were recommended by MCM specifically for the Pi..) I was worried my brand new pis were bad, but it is running fine on an old 2g microsd (plus adapter) th...
