Re: Client RPi mounted NFS won't show changes to files on NA

Hi,
#open the file to edit using nano, I prefer it over vi

sudo nano /etc/fstab

#Add the following entry at the end of the file

192.168.0.64:/volume1/Pi /home/pi/PTPics nfs defaults 0 0

#Ctrl X to exit and save. Hope that helps.

Client RPi mounted NFS won't show changes to files on NAS

Hi, I have set up a shared folder on a Synology NAS using NFS and it auto mounts on boot. That bit works, if I add a file into the shared folder on the server I'd like it to instantly see those changes without manually refreshing the file browser. Currently it is running FEH slideshow using the moun...

Re: Connecting to network storage attached to router (RaspBM

Hi, I think first thing is to see what the options are in the router. What is the model? If it is able to present the USB HDD as say an NFS share then there are some really good guides to setting these up. You might need to borrow information from one or two guides though. Check out the manufacturer...

Re: Pi in museum exhibits?

Hi, currently looking to replace some very expensive OneLan hardware which is only ever used to show slideshows of jpegs and the odd movie. RPi is exactly what we want. Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi, must be ports thing at work, have the RPi at home today and despite not being able to find a keyboard it connected first time and no error. (thank you SSH)

Thanks again.

Keen to see more development in a nice subtle fade transition if possible.

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi, thanks for the tip, I did try Https as it looked like an address, no luck.

However I now have something to ping so will try that. I tried looking that up but ran out of time.

Thanks again will let you know.

Re: Screenly OSE -- Digital Signage for the Raspberry Pi

Hi, I've read through the pots but I can't find the issue I am having. New to RPi and Linux so be gentle although like old days of DOS and ZX81. :-) Went through your set up list no problem until I hit the line git clone git://github.com/wireload/screenly-ose.git ~/screenly This gives me an error fa...
