Re: Mapping my GPS data

Not sure exactly what you want to do. However, something like GPS Prune will show you a map of your gps track. Not tried it on the Pi, but it's a java app, so should work. The other possibility is installing a web server on the Pi and using the OpenLayers javascript library to show your track on a ...

Re: GPS on the Pi.... [Need Help]

If you're using a GSM module why not send a text message command to your Pi which then returns a text message with the GPS co-ordinates. After that just go to Google Maps and pop in the co-ordinates like: 48.077,12.8337 (latitude, longitude) :D Richard S. But i would like my pi to keep updating my ...

Re: sending MMS to phone

You should be able to automate sending an email and generally you can email SMS/MMS messages. (ex. to text a Verizon cell phone, just do 1234567890@vtext.com -- it's different for every carrier) This assumes that the phone has service though. but in my country (Malaysia), this service is not provid...

Re: sending MMS to phone

How much hardware do you want to build; or do you want to buy off the shelf? What sort of budget are you on? Do you own any old phones that can be driven by a PC? Is your RaPi wirelessable to something with an internet connection in your house? Can you email yourself a picture from a PC? etc - actu...
