Re: Full duplex yet??
My card is definitely USB 2.0, and it has fine duplex on my lappy under Ubuntu... It must rapidly (seemlessly?) switch between in/out to achieve this. I guess this is where the Pi has been failing? I believe Miller P. Has been musing over this for some time, I'm hoping he has found a fix!

Full duplex yet??
Hi all... From the outset I've been having trouble achieving simultaneous audio input & output from the Pi through an external soundcard, using PDext. This was some time ago, and I have been wondering if anyone knows this to have been resolved yet? I've trawled through lots of posts on this boar...

Re: Pure Data?
With the USB soundcard I can trim down to 30ms & 512samples with very few audio complaints which is quite acceptable. Using PD in headless (-nogui) mode is perfect and is the goal for many of my patches. As for the HDMI sound, I've read somewhere on here that the GPU deals with the digital sound...

Re: alsa audio-in with Pure Data and USB dongle
Hi, forgive my interruption, but I too am having issues with ALSA and Puredata. At one point I had sound output perfectly, but now, even with the same settings that worked, I am getting snd_pcm_open driver or resource busy... This has only happened since I hooked up my USB MIDI keyboard which will o...

M Audio Fast Track silent whistle
Hi
I'm using the above soundcard connected to my Pi via a powered USB hub. It runs absolutely fine when audio is playing but I get a high pitch whistle when no audio is being processed.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

Re: Puredata...
So after doing a bit of post-reading and some good old fashioned trial&error, I now have a working controller with Puredata, and I thought I'd share my findings in case others are trying to achieve the same. I installed that latest version of 'xboxdrv' as suggested in other posts on here, and ra...

Re: Pure Data?
Update: Puredata and ALSA are running as well as can be expected, though the onboard analogue sound output drops out an awful lot. Since I have no HDMI devices at my disposal, I have yet to test Puredata's sound reliability through this medium. Better (almost faultless) sound has been achieved by ho...

Puredata...
Hello, board. So far in my dabblings with the Pi I've managed to get Puredata installed along with the HID externals in order to start transferring some projects on to the Pi. What I am working on is a bundle of synthesiser patches that rely solely upon a wireless Xbox control pad as their input. Al...

Re: Pure Data?
PD is running via ALSA on my laptop reliably enough, so I guess it should be okay? Would it be best to hook up a USB soundcard to the Pi?

Pure Data?
As a heavy Pure Data user I'm keen to know whether or not PDext will run reliably on the Pi, and whether there are any known issues or limitations... And also perhaps which is the best OS to use for audio-heavy usage...

SD card advice (waiting for my Pi)
Greetings, board. So I'm waiting for my Pi (which should be with me within days) and I'm preparing everything I have ready for its grand arrival......so I have a couple of questions queries and concerns that I'm hoping you guys might be able to advise me on! I've flashed an 8GB SD card with the late...
