Re: filesystem corruption - unstable raspberry

When you say "rebooting" are you using the "shutdown" command or just yanking the power off? Despite advances in Linux file system software it seems yanking the power is a recipe for disaster. Anyway, I await an answer to this question because as of now I have been through a dozen cards in half a y...

summary of my usage my Pi:

self powered hub, tv dongle, usb disk, no datacorruption after reboot - it looks like stable. It runs maybe 1 or 2 months (without rebooting).

after rebooting and changing usb dongles - prying is needed. Sometimes is ok, sometimes - damaged sd card.

Re: filesystem corruption - unstable raspberry

Some questions... What are you using for a power supply? What gauge and length are the wires that supply the power to the Pi? If you are powering the Pi and other devices from a USB hub, what is the current rating on the USB hub power supply? USB power suply, voltage is between 4.75 and 5.25, 1A. U...

Re: filesystem corruption - unstable raspberry

Can you reproduce this without the USB hub, disk and TV dongle? Also can you reproduce it with the overclocking? If so it would be good if you could send the SDCard + Pi to us at Pi towers so I can finally reproduce the problem and maybe fix it! Will send a new one out... Gordon Hi Gordon, thank yo...

Re: usb disk - data corruption - due to overclocking?

tested without DVB-T Dongle, with USB disk. It was stable for a week (700MHz).

Now overlocked to 950 MHz, without DVB-T dongle and with USB disk. Everything seems stable now. I will wait for a week.

After a week, I will try to connect another DVB-T dongle.

Re: usb disk - data corruption - due to overclocking?

no, I'm not booting from USB disk. I'm booting from usb card. I have only data on USB disk (films and other files). Disk is connected through USB port.

I check F3 fuse again with powered system with everything plugged in. Voltage distance is good - 0.12V.

Re: usb disk - data corruption - due to overclocking?

There is 5,10V between TP1 and TP2 I followed these instructions: http://elinux.org/R-Pi_Troubleshooting the F3 polyfuse has been tested too. Voltage different was 0.03V. I think, that is not problem with power supply. Any other idea, why could be RasPi unstable? Can active USB hub cause data corrup...

Re: Audio popping; OpenELEC, XBMC, or Pi problem?

I have compiled XBMC with pulse audio, but it didn't help for me.

I found this article: http://elinux.org/RPi_Bugs

Isn't it hardware problem? Or hadware problem is only about distortion?
