What value do you have in /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server for

Code: Select all

# Number of servers to start up
RPCNFSDCOUNT=8
I put it up to 20.

NFS server limiting the number of connections. Why?

I have built myself a cluster of 20 Raspberry machines. I have set one of them to be an NFS server, and all the others are NFS clients (including the server, for uniformity). The /etc/exports configuration file for the server (named rg.local) has the line /home/pi *(rw,sync,no_subtree_check) The /et...

Is Wolfram still developing for Raspberry Pi?

Hi all/anyone (especially Wolfram), I am a longtime Mathematica user. It seems to me that the Mathematica on the Pi has stagnated to the point of no discussions on this forum (or anywhere else). The biggest barrier I have seen in trying to teach with it is the lack of comprehensive help like in the ...

Re: Mathematica 10.1

What exactly do you miss - where is the difference to the pay-version? I use this , or if you want to read offline - printed or in .pdf-format . The difference is that the pay version has all the documentation included, including a local search function, and does not need an always on internet conn...

Re: Mathematica 10.1

I myself have been wondering if Wolfram is really committed to the Raspberry Pi. For me the biggest shortcoming from Mathematica on the Pi is that there is no reasonable way to get the documentation offline. For some reason wolfram expects constant online access in order to get help. All I want for ...

Compass pointing West. Why?

I finally managed to fully calibrate my Sense Hat today. I tried the compass example program and it points west consistently. I can change this easily, but I would like to know if there is something I did wrong? My phone compass in the same environment does point north, so there is no stray magnetis...

Re: wolfram-engine dependent on libharfbuzz0a

I made the same observation some time ago when I installed Jessie. Would it be possible to force Jessie to install libharbuzz0a from Wheezy for now?

Disable graphical interface in Jessie

I recently installed Jessie on my pi. Jessie moved to SystemD. Everything works fine so far, except that there seems to be no obvious way of disabling the graphical interface. I have tried disabling via raspi-config, via "systemctl disable graphical", "systemically disable lighted". None of them hav...

Re: Downloadable documentation?

MoosePi: That topic does not solve the problem I have. The problem I have is that the documentation (tutorial, references etc..) is online only but the people I will give the Pis to do not have internet access. Without documentation it's virtually impossible to fully utilize the power of Mathematica.

Downloadable documentation?

Will there be a way to download the documentation? I will be delivering Raspberry Pis to where there is very little connectivity so it is essential to have a local copy of documentation.

Re: Stock at MCM Electronics

I made on order on November 1 with an expected shipping date of November 12. Now it seems that date has disappeared?

Am I still on track for Nov 12?
