Re: RCA Video output by default

Thanks a lot Joe. So, summarising:

The default video interface is analog RCA. But if somebody (a machine, of course) tells the HDMI it is there, the device switches to HDMI.

If I knew how, I would create a bootloader to allow USB-booting... but I don't know anything about advanced programming.

Wouldn't you void the warranty of the Raspi?

(which I suppose is 1 year though not being in agreement with most countries' laws).

Re: Booting-up RaspBerry Pi for the first time

I think that they won't have enough units to attend the massive demand... Or they might sell them but ship it in too much time (I will cancel my order if it's that second case).

It would hurt them and the foundation a lot... I wish they will foresee this.

Re: Booting-up RaspBerry Pi for the first time

I will buy one RasPi, but I'm asking myself a question:

When I get it, what do I have to de exactly?

Will it be enough to prepare the SD card, insert it into the device, turn it on and it will work and boot-up Linux?

Thanks in advance,

Albert

<r>Sorry, I thought I would need it.<br/> Sorry for the question, I was afraid about having to use RS232 mandatorily to initialize the board or format the SD card.<br/> So... I will just format the SD card with a computer, load the image there, insert the SD into the raspberry pi and run it? Is that...

Re: What have we missed?

Thanks! I hadn't seen it. I hope more documentation will be provided when the device is launched, including how to connect the COM/RS232 to the board (welding, I suppose) and how to connect it to the computer. I think a full tutorial would be so useful for the newbies :)
