Re: Kernel hangs in l2cap_chan_destroy

Alas it didn't solve the problem for me. :(

Beginning to wonder whether my RPi has a hardware fault.

Rasbian & Bluetooth: A Crippled OS.

I'm going to be a tad provocative here... Please brace yourselves accordingly. :P Raspbian is fundamentally flawed due to the broken bluetooth support within the included kernel. This is a very large flaw on a device which relies on bluetooth for a majority of it's communication and expansion needs....

Re: Wheezy: Problem with Bluetooth

I'm running the latest versions / updates but still have this issue.

I am up to my 3rd bluetooth device now. The USB BT adapter is the only thing plugged in to the Pi apart from the power cable!

Re: Successful Boot, Next Boot Fails

Yes to the poweroff; I haven't tried reboot but it calls shutdown in any case so I'd assume it'd still have the issue. The problem with the fsck is that it'd need to start booting linux for that to happen. As it is there is just no signal from the next boot, just the red light stays on. Which I thin...

Re: Successful Boot, Next Boot Fails

To follow on from the above, if the device is reset (shutdown -r now), it does so without problem. So it's just hard resets that cause the issue. It's very much a flip-flop problem rather than intermittent issue.

Re: Successful Boot, Next Boot Fails

I have this issue. My Pi only boots correctly every 2nd boot (whether shutdown properly or just by removing the power). On the subsequent (failing) boot, the lights come on and stay red - almost as if it's hardware rather than software related. They're coming on before there's even a chance for Linu...

Re: SMAInverter -> Pi -> PVOutput.org setup instructions

Thank you very much PiAir, your posts have prompted me to get a RaspPi and do the same. With any luck it'll arrive this week and I can follow your guides on the weekend!

Look forward to it.

Re: Rasp Pi Stackexhange Site Proposal

Don't see the point of this - just splintering the location of knowledge and help :? Not really... I'm not sure how familiar you are with SE but the gist of it is to provide answers that are backed up by evidence (i.e. links). In practice this tends to have answers which point to comment from the f...

FYI this group was accepted and is undergoing a closed beta; it should be generally available within 2 days and can be reached via:

Plenty of activity already!

Rasp Pi Stackexhange Site Proposal

Hi, There is a proposal to create a Raspberry Pi Stackexchange site here: http://area51.stackexchange.com/proposals/37041/raspberry-pi This isn't my initiative but I think it's a brilliant idea and am happy to spread the word! And I'm sure there's a few people here with stackexhange accounts who cou...

Re: Cases for the Raspberry Pi

At this stage my plan is to stick embed mine inside a gutted 5'1/4" floppy.

Really like the r2d2 money box idea though, that's brilliant. I wonder if there's any suitable transformer ones...
