Really looking for input and advice. So far I have done limited coding on the PI, but I am not sure if this is the best path forward.

Coding Platform

General question to the community. What are you using for a development/coding platform? Are you coding directly on the Raspberry PI or are you developing your code on a Linux or windows based platform? What is your tool/editor of choice? Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.

File/User Permissions

This is really a generic question. I have found that when I log in, many files can be read but not edited. For example. I am trying to make the SPI interface "Always Enabled" and have attempted to edit the "Raspi-Blacklist.conf" file, but cannot open it to edit as I do not have "Write" permissions. ...

Yep, knew it was something I didn't understand. Just need to understand how the actually run the testing programs. So far first to tests work like a charm.
