Re: MXL Chip is too hot

I suspect the device has been shorted out at some point and is no longer working correctly. No way it should be that hot.

Re: Raspberry Pi 400 - Quality Control problems

Question: My 400 is a USA layout model; if I buy a UK layout Pi keyboard and transplant the keyboard matrix into the 400, will it auto-detect that it's UK layout - is there some form of ID in the matrix which tells the 400 which layout is connected, or is the matrix literally just a silvered plasti...

Odd, what version of Raspberry Pi OS are you running? Although it would have to be VERY old for this not to work.

Re: Raspberry Pi only for "FUN" ?

No that isn't standard behaviour. If you are shutting down carefully, you should never see an SD card corruption, unless you have absolutely hammered the card for years. I've seen about 1 unexplainable SD card corruption in 9 years. What make of card are you using - our tests have shown Sandisk are ...

Re: Raspberry Pi OS or another Distribution for a systemd free server?

BTW, I think most people can live without dbus and udev and all that stuff to support "hot swapping" USB sticks. No big loss there. Au contraire! Plugging in and out USB devices happens all the time. Would be a massive loss to take that out. Always been an annoyance having to find where t...

Basically so you can pick and choose the best set of pins for your application. Note how they are arranged as 1,2, and 4 apart, which makes selecting an easy to use set even easier.

Re: "Right to Repair Legislation and the Raspberry Pi"

I always prefer to repair if possible. Not always possible; try getting a new LCD panel for a Mychron 4, not even the original manufacturers have any LCD's and they don't sell them as parts anyway.... Currently looking for a broken one with intact display so I can make one good one. But, and here's ...

Buy a Pi and avoid all the problems. It's the most utilitaristic thing to do.

Or try the Jetson Nano forums?

My shorthand for CSI-2 with 4 channels, that's what I meant by CSI-4.
So, that's not confusing at all then....

I'd really suggest not using that shorthand.

Re: Stressing USB3 affects H264 encoding performance (Update).

Can I ask specifically what you are trying to achieve, and what is the current issue? From the first post you are attempting to encode multiple 1080p30 streams? Which is too much for the HW encoder which has a limit of just over 1080p30. Irrespective of the number of streams, there is a maximum numb...

Re: How to use the C++ SDK on windows?

Lowering the installation bar will do justice with these great MCU and API. Windows is a PITA when developing for devices like this. It's so much easier on Linux (and Mac to some extent) to provide easy scripts to install everything. I'd always recommend using Linux in some form when developing for...
