Re: Rpi 0W bulk buy

Hi, On another thread jamesh said to PM him regarding bulk purchases of the Rpi0/1.3 and Rpi0W. I am interested in additional information; I'd like to get pricing, availability and delivery times for order quantities of 500, 1500, and 15k. I am an EE for a commercial vendor potentially interested i...

Re: unable to use touch via hdmi

Just connecting the Pi to an HDMI device will not provide any sort of touchscreen facility - HDMI is output only, and the touchscreen data need to get back to the Pi somehow. When connecting a HDMI monitor with touchscreen, usually there is a USB or similar connection as well.

Re: New TV Tuner from HQ

recieved my tv hat this afternoon, followed the tutorial on PiHut to set up Tvheadend but the hat seems to kill the Pi's wifi, when the hat is removed the Pi connects to the network no problem, happens with Pi0w and Pi3. haven't tried ethernet yet, need to investigate further, hope I've not got a d...

Re: Video for 1080x2880

I'm quite surprised it works at, apparently, 60fps. I would have expected that resoution to be too high. i wonder if the height is less important than the width. As the SBC was also used for mobile phones in the past this could be possible I think. Question now is: is it working when rotated to lan...

Re: New TV Tuner from HQ

I guess some people will be looking at SDR capabilities, I've not read the release yet though. I did not find anything useful in that respect when I looked. There is no documentation on the chip used I could find and no one else seems to have had any luck either. Can it do S2 or is it just T2 ? Jus...

Re: Multiple Frame buffer beta testers wanted

Tested with a fresh installation where it did not work (lost USB devices; same as already reported earlier). Then used an old installation. After update/upgrade/rpi-update/reboot only one framebuffer was generated. Replaced the kernel7.img and start_x.elf with your files and then got it working. Ne...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

I LIKE to be an early adopter but did not go for a pre-order or even an immediate order when available. Reason: Time between announcement and availability was too long - to me a warning sign. Then when they became available I waited a few weeks to first check for Raspberry POE hat Problems in a sea...

Re: Realtime Geometric Camera/Lens Distortion Correction

Worth noting that large distortions corrections in the ISP do slow down the frame rate. ISTR a colleague at BRCM using the distortion block to correct for odd sensor shapes, and we were unable to maintain required framerates. I believe it did depend on the extent of the correction required. That may...

Re: Add Analog to Digital pins to the pi

Adding new stuff like this means the price increases for everyone (or profit levels decrease), even if not everyone wants to use the feature. Which we try and avoid. As others have said, it's what HAT's are for.

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

A Google search for "raspberry Pi PoE HAT overcurrent" Oh, come on - there's no way anyone can run that search until they not only know there's a problem, but something about the specific nature of the problem. Someone who just wants a hat and has no idea why they're out of stock most places isn't ...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

Interesting. But i think if it works or not is not so important, important is the measuring. It is not a clean DC output, it has a lot of ripples. Devs sould have a focus on this and trya to remove the ripples and make a clean DC output. Only with a clean DC output runs the pi stable. ;) We have fi...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

Sure, I think everyone gets that. That's all totally fine. The problem is that there isn't a blog post (and tweets etc.) simply saying what you've said here - there's a problem, sales are suspended, there will be a fix, it'll be a few weeks. There's no disagreement about the actual issue, just whet...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

Yes, it doesn't work correctly in some circumstance. Finding those exact circumstances (we could not replicate the issue in house!) took a while with some great help from community members. Just as an anecdote, some community members sent guaranteed non-working devices, including the Pi3 they were a...

At 30fps, the bitrate is halved, so you could try halving the clock. (to 104M)

Your question is very very vague, but on the whole, yes, you can use the Pi as a kiosk. There are a few packages available to do this. Google will find them.

Re: ssh not working in Raspbian Desktop (june 2018)

We don't provide a 64bit OS, so the majority of help here will be related to the 32bit raspbian OS. Raspbian by default does not have SSH enabled. You can enabled it using raspi-config. Once enabled, it should work with no problems. I have never heard of it not working, and I use it all the time and...

Re: PoE HAT - USB Ports not working - over-current

I have to agree with Ewan, this information is not widely known at all. I was ready to pick pay almost 3 times the regular price because they were ‘out of stock’ at all the normal places. If these said “product recalled” or “sales halted due to issues” I would have discovered this much sooner. Or t...

And my point is that y'all should not wait for them. Plenty is known already to post a "Hey, the PoE hats aren't on sale while we investigate" holding position, and that would be enough to help right now. The silence is misleading. No it isn't. it just means we're not ready to say anything yet. We ...

OK, so that table is the timings for 60fps, is there also one for 30fps? Because I don't think the Pi is fast enough to hit those 60fps figures at that resolution. No other table. This is the only one, This is the native for the TFT. If this is not fast enough, using this config the expected behavi...
