Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

FWIW, i wiped and installed 1_9_0, and it all works out well. I'm glad we went through all the steps though.

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Good thing you noted that there are two kernel dirs under /lib/modules That means that kernel update has happened. And it happens from time to time to break some things (like modules not being loaded). Heh. The one version you mentioned didn't work, so i had to try, and found two. Heh, one, two, tr...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Okay so we have a clue: evdev module is not loaded and that means there is no one to channel the events to the X server (mouse is recognized correctly) Can you do: ls /lib/modules/<your_kernel_version> i think your version is 4.1.19-v7+ then the command should be ls /lib/modules/4.1.19-v7+ That is ...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

I had exactly the same problem ..... Solved ! I downloaded the latest SDformatter and reformatted the SD card. I then downloaded and copied NOOBS_v1_9_0. Reloaded on Pi3. Keyboard and mouse functioned at initial boot and then continued to work once Raspbian loaded. Hope it works for you. Well, i ha...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

It's a standard install. Only change is the power setting, as it was tested earlier. I can just as easily reinstall, maybe something went wrong? I booted the pi, and pulled out all 4 plugs (2 drives, mouse, and keyboard). System complained about unplugging the drives. lsmod before and after plugging...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Thank you for the help. I attached two usb sticks just for the fun of it. Both get listed. One the basic mac stuff, the other, a bunch of mp3s.

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Sorry, by "the pi plug" i meant the "Official Raspberry Pi 3 Universal Power Supply," which i purchased here . To review: I connected the mouse, keyboard, and usb drive. The keyboard's caps light lock does not go on, the mouse's bottom light is on, neither seems to garner a response on screen. (Thou...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

I can think of a reason why they would not work.. I check the (outdated) list on the eLinux wiki and the devices you're using are listed as working... You may want to run dmesg again to see if there are any error messages after the initial detection. Maybe someone else has an idea what's going on h...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

I switched the keyboard and mouse from my mac (this computer) to the raspi and am using the radio usb thingy's keyboard and mouse here. (As you can tell, they work fine.) Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Ok. It looks as if a mouse is detected, but no keyboard... (the last 3 entries are the standard devices on the Pi) Was it plugged in when you gave the command? Try plugging in the keyboard after booting the Pi and then check again with lsusb. If it does not show up use dmesg to show the log message...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Search for devices connected to your router (google the ip for model router). Mine is listed under "raspberrypi" and is something like 192.168.1.xx Look for MobaXTerm. This is freeware that will let you access your RPi from your normal PC via SSH. No need for individual keyboard, mouse or monitor. ...

Re: Keyboard and mouse not working

Thank you for looking! :)

The red light is always on. Adding max_usb_current=1 does not change anything. In both cases, the light on bottom of the mouse is on as usual, so they are definitely receiving power.

How do i type in lsusb when the mouse and keyboar don't work?

[Solved] Keyboard and mouse not working

I was able to install Raspbian via Noobs. After reboot, however, the board does not recognize my mouse or keyboard. I have tried three different mice, one via radio and a usb receiver, and two mice that directly plugin. I have also tried two keyboards, one that also uses the radio thingy, and the ot...

I see it there, but not in INSTRUCTIONS-README.txt that comes with the Noobs download. I am suggesting that too might be a good place for it.

Noobs Installation Readme, Mac, 64 GB, Ex-FAT

These forums are great. My pi boots because of them. :) I downloaded Noobs to my mac and followed the installation instructions, which had me download the SD Card formatter and let it run. It ran but made my 64GB SD Card Ex-FAT. This, of course, meant the pi wouldn't boot, so i used Disk Utility to ...
