Re: NRF24L01 RF Transceiver

Argh... I've spent about 4 hours on getting it work, it has been working in the past. I think I had cabling problems, but then even when I rewired with another I had software problems. So, my experiences: - Wiring: triple-check the wiring. If you have a Rev2 PI board, this is the good wiring (see mi...

Re: Raspberry Pi Camera Module

Where can I get a camera?

I tried Farnell (no stock), RS, a local distributor, NewIT -- none of them have the PI camera on stock. There is not even an expected availability date. Very sad.

Even on eBay I cannot find PI camera modules, though it used to have a couple..

Re: Wearout Prevention of SD card memory

I just checked a Kingston brochure: "Wear-Leveling Technology: Kingston Flash storage devices incorporate controllers utilizing advanced wearleveling technology, which distributes the number of P/E cycles (program/erase) across the Flash memory evenly. Wear-leveling thus extends the useful life of a...

Re: Raspberry Pi Alternatives?

The original poster is sadly right. RS does have/had very big problems with fulfilling the demand (some people got their Pi-s after 3-5 months! after ordering!). This is way too much! There seems to be some hope: RS does seem to get their act together. Until then, order from Farnell, if you can. How...

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied

I cancelled my order with RS (got my money back in a week or so), then ordered through ebay, at a bit higher price (+10 eur).

But got it in 1-2 weeks, now happily playing with it :-)

Happy end.

Re: RS - BAD! - People jumping the queue? - Cancellation fai

What I don't get is why doesn't RS put out a sign on the webpage: TEMPORARILY SOLD OUT!
or NOT TAKING MORE ORDERS TEMPORARILY UNTIL BACKLOG IS FINISHED.

They would get some time to catch their breath and people would be able to buy elsewhere. Lead times of months are ridiculous!

Re: RS & Allied Update #4 (10th Oct)

After reading this forum, and having an order number from RS like 198xxxx, I realized I won't be getting my Raspberry from RS soon, so I cancelled my order. Farnell doesn't ship to my country (Hungary), sadly :-( I had to order from another place (eBay), but the price was higher. I found NewIT (http...
