The standard channel is set on: auto, do you suggest changing it to a single channel?

hi guys :) have a problem you experts can help me with. My RPi has an Edimax EW-7811Un wifi module. I'm running a clean 2012-09-18-wheezy-raspbian build on it and use the WPA_GUI to gain access to the internet. Now the problem is very simple to formulate. I don't see my router... I can see the route...
