Re: XBMC for Raspbian wheezy including airplay,nfs,dvdcss...

I cant get it to play mkv files either. It just shows a black screen and no sound - however the time is rolling.

Anybody know how to fix that?

I have tried to install your 20121015 image - seems to work fine, but AirPlay does not work on it - I am able to see the device through AirPlay, but it does not play any sound when connected.
Do you have any idea why?

Re: New RPI 512 MB fails on apt-get upgrade

For some reason I dont know, it seems to work fine after I've used win32diskimager instead of dd on Mac OSX.
Thanks for all your suggestions though!

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get autoclean  && sudo apt-get autoremove
could help.
Unfortunately it did not help :/.

I am using an old Apple iPod USB power supply.
Says Output: 5V - 1A on it - guess that should be fine?

Re: New RPI 512 MB fails on apt-get upgrade

I'm still having problems.
Is it possible that it may be a hardware problem?
Something with the PSU or the Raspberry Pi itself?

Re: New RPI 512 MB fails on apt-get upgrade

Have you overclocked your Pi? Try running just stock frequencies - no overclock - and see if you still have the same problem. No it is just stock frequencies. I have several Class 10 cards from different manufacturers and they all work. It seems that other people are having similar problems - see t...

I just tried another plain new, out of package SD card - still same error but the package it is mentioning is now lxmenu-data.

Edit:
My SD cards is class 10 and not class 4 as suggested on raspberrypi.org - does that matter?

New RPI 512 MB fails on apt-get upgrade

I have just got my new Raspberry PI 512 MB and a completely new SD card and installed Raspbian (2012-09-18-wheezy-raspbian.img). After installing the SD card I am not able to do sudo apt-get upgrade. It comes with the following error: dpkg: unrecoverable fatal error, aborting: files list file for pa...
