dpkg-query: no packages found matching at-spi2-core

Since upgrading the package raspberrypi-sys-mods to the latest version, I am seeing the message dpkg-query: no packages found matching at-spi2-core when I log in. If I install the package at-spi2-core, this changes to Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/ha...

Unknown port open on Raspberry Pi

I did a port scan using Fing on my Android phone and found that port 38037 is open on one of my Raspberry Pis. Running netstat just shows this: tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:38037 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN - and ss: tcp LISTEN 0 64 *:38037 *: I'm concerned that I have an open port that I haven't specifically opened.

I had seen copyfile from shutil, but wasn't sure if it was suitable for the job. Now using it.

Many thanks.

Timelapse

Currently I'm running a Python program to capture an image every 5 minutes and upload a photo on the hour which uses crontab to run every 5 minutes. As most of the program only needs to be run once I thought about using a loop in Python instead and this is what I have come up with. My concern at the...

Re: WiFi Issues ? Start here !

I've been using the official Broadcom USB wi-fi adaptor with a Raspberry Pi 2 for a few months until I had to reboot at the weekend and ever since I have been unable to get the USB adaptor to work. In /var/log/syslog, I am seeing: kernel: [ 376.634894] usbcore: registered new interface driver brcmfm...

Re: [Tutorial] Squeezelite up and running on Raspbian

Just finished setting up the RaspberryPI 2B / Raspian Wheezy, LMS server and Squeezelight player. However, the Squeezelight player does not connect to the LMS server. The player and the LMS server resides on the same PI. If I try starting the Squeezelight player when the LMS server is running, I ge...

Re: Can't install xserver-xorg-video-fbturbo in Jessie

Just came across this post after realising that I will be unable to use an Adafruit TFT HAT on Raspbian Jessie as I am unable to install fbturbo.

I've done compiling before on Debian, but never on a Raspberry Pi. Could someone post a quick guide on how to build the above package?

Bright Pi I2C 5 volt and 3 volt

I currently have a Raspberry Pi B+ with a HTU21D-F Temperature + Humidity Sensor from Adafruit connected to I2C. I would like to add a Bright Pi from www.pi-supply.com also on I2C, but I'm concerned about having the HTU21D-F running off 3.3V and the Bright Pi running off 5V. Looking at the specifica...

Re: [Tutorial] Squeezelite up and running on Raspbian

I had done an update before, but I did another one anyway, but is still doing it. Need to check to see if Squeezelite is the cause or is something else doing it, haven't got much else running on it anyway.

Re: [Tutorial] Squeezelite up and running on Raspbian

I've now tried installing Squeezelite on a B+, but now I'm getting
kernel: [ 8452.312120] bcm2835_audio_set_ctls:558 Controls set for stream 0
every few minutes in syslogs.

Re: [Tutorial] Squeezelite up and running on Raspbian

I'm having trouble running Squeezelite for any length of time, after a while it will either hang at the end of a song or when I view that player on LMS and refresh the page it will keep restarting that track. I've enabled logging and attached is the latest log, it looks like the last time it starts...

Turning 12v IR light on and off

I have a Raspberry Pi and PiNoIR camera that I'm using as a baby monitor and takes a photo once a minute. To allow it to see at night I have bought a 12v infrared light source which at the moment is on all the time. What I would like to do is to switch it on only when the camera is taking a photo. W...

Reading I2C temperature module

I've got a webcam set up that takes a photo every minute and adds the date/time to the bottom. Now I've added this http://www.cjemicros.co.uk/micros/products/rpirtc.shtml RTC Clock and temperature sensor module in the hope that I could add the current temperature to the image. My problem is that the...

Codec keys

I received 2 new 512MB Raspberry Pis yesterday and went to the shop and requested MPEG2 and VC1 keys for both Pis. These keys have now arrived, but all 4 were sent in the same email and I've no idea which ones are for which Pi. Is there any way of finding out?
