Re: Config.txt not working

OK, Mahjongg - you are a moderator - tell me, yes or no, is the config.txt file on the SD card read and acted upon? It's no good telling me to edit the config.txt file on the running RPi if I cannot read the tiny text on my monitor! Anyway - I cannot even get to the "Console" prompt, let alone run a...

Re: HDMI VGA adapter

I have edited the 'config.txt' file on the SD card, hoping to enlarge the font and reduce the overscan but the system seems not to read this file. I attempt to do it this way since the screen text is too small for me to interact effectively with the unix and edit the loaded version. Any suggestions?...

Re: No more Gert... kits

Three days ago Tandy sent me an email to say they had a few board kits. I responded evidently three hours after they had sent their mail but got "No stock" I telephoned them to learn that all had sold but one had been returned - I bagged it. It arrived yesterday. A "De luxe" board at £24.99 + VAT. T...

Re: No more Gert... kits

OK - so I shot across to Tandy - they're out of stock but, unlike Farnell, they did invite me to register for a heads-up when they get some more in, which I did.

Re: No more Gert... kits

Hi Gert: Herewith the email: I'm pretty disappointed Dear Peter, Sorry to disappoint, we have decided to remove the Gertboard from sale. Don’t worry we are planning on producing a fully assembled board but this will not be available for another few weeks. So with this we have cancelled your order fo...

No more Gert... kits

My "Gertboard" order has been cancelled just hours after confirmation.
Farnell say they're only going to supply populated, finished 'boards in future. Why is this?
Waiting for Farnell (or another org.) to tool up to production levels is intolerable!
How can I obtain a "Kit".

Re: Driving a (removed) laptop display using DSI

I am quite accustomed to fabricating, populating and happily using "Boards". That I should need to hack an interface is of little concern! I am sure that its existence as an option is because at least one of the many types of portable terminal gear ('phone, tablet, game controller etc, etc) has a so...

OK, so what purpose is that particular output meant to serve?

Driving a (removed) laptop display using DSI

That says it all: can I adapt the DSI output so as to drive a laptop screen as a monitor?
