Re: Composite too intense for CRT?

I'm using NTSC. I was told that the PI could potentially mess up CRTs because of how it did composite.

Composite too intense for CRT?

I'm running my PI on a CRT but when I do I get two large color dots on the screen. One is red and the other is green. I'm told that the pi is too intense for older CRT TVs. Is there a way to fix this in the config or something?

Problem getting motion to capture from camera

Hi everyone. I've been trying to get this generic webcam to work with motion and no matter what I've tried it hasn't worked. I can grab images fine with fswebcam. When I start motion this is what I get: [email protected]:~ $ sudo motion [0] [NTC] [ALL] conf_load: Processing thread 0 - config file /etc/motio...

Trouble with pibakery

Hi everyone. I tried making up a working image with pi bakery...I boogered up one of the scripts. Can someone tell me how to change these boot scripts? I really don't want to have to do an entirely new image.

SDL1 for Rpi 3?

I'm trying to build an older binary on the Pi 3 but I need the original SDL apparently. Is there a package for this for the Pi 3 some place? So far I haven't had much luck.

Re: HOWTO: Create Custom HDMI modes

Has anyone been able to get the PI to scan down to NTSC [email protected] 15khz? I'm trying to put a PI into my arcade cabinet and so far I haven't had any luck. I was planning on using a VGA adapter and running wires off the R/G/B/S lines.

Writing to a smaller SD card question

I have a tweaked linux on a 64GB sd card that takes up about 1gb. I'd like to transfer this to a smaller 4gb sd card. Is there an easy way to do this?

Voltage warning fades in and out

I'm driving my pi 3 with a 5v 3a power supply as evolved but the little rainbow square will pop in and then fade out over and over. Is there any possible way to fix this short of replacing the power supply?

Re: Can't read GPS data

Oh, if I kill the GPSD process and start it manually from the command line everything works great if I use

sudo gpsd /dev/ttyUSB0 -n -F /var/run/gpsd.sock

Re: Can't read GPS data

Yes, I'm pointing it at /dev/ttyUSB0 Here's the contents of gpsd default file: # Default settings for gpsd. # Please do not edit this file directly - use `dpkg-reconfigure gpsd' to # change the options. START_DAEMON="true" GPSD_OPTIONS="-n" DEVICES="/dev/ttyUSB0" USBAUTO="true" GPSD_SOCKET="/var/run...

Can't read GPS data

I've got a gps that is sitting on /dev/ttyUSB0

It works fine if I use GPSmon I get data. When I telnet to the GPSD port, I also get no data. CGPS quits with a "GPS timeout" error.

Could someone help me here? Am I doing something wrong?

Daemonizing GPSD instance

I've been trying to daemonize GPSD and no matter what I don't get any output. I have to kill the process, and then restart it from the command line. After that it works. I tried running this command from rc.local: sudo gpsd /dev/ttyUSB0 -F /var/run/gpsd.sock But I get the same effect. No data. If I ...

I'm having some issues here. I'm attempting to run something via rc.local and I'm not having much luck here. Re: Single frame grabbing from webcam corrupt

I did read it. I'm not grabbing them simultaneously. I'm grabbing them sequentially IE

Camera0
Camera1
Camera2
Camera3

As opposed to trying to pull it all at once. I know that grabbing at the same time is unrealistic.
