Re: Netflix.. very close but I have this error

As far as I know, Netflix only supports Windows and Mac OSX, not Linux. This is because of DRM, Netflix uses a proprietary implementation of Microsoft Silverlight, which is not supported under Linux and most likely never will be. I have heard of people having some success using WINE, but I wouldn't...

Re: Denon DRA-F109 meets Raspberry Pi

Really good detective work Kamil. I was beginning to think that I was the only one who bought the Denon DRA-F109! It's a great sounding amp in such a neat package. The unit front panel is very sparse but the remote has a plenitude of controls mostly for controlling the other separates of the systems...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Since there appear to be issues with LMS getting sluggish after a day or two (probably some problem in the curent nightlies) I'd like to auto-reboot my squeezeplug pi every day at a certain time. Is there an easy way to do this on Squeezeplug 7? I've heard about cronjobs but never dealt with them b...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

@woi_doi It's too early to say, but it almost seems like your solution helped with my problem as well. I'll keep testing and see if ot now remains stable. Thanks! Glad if it's of some help as it was doing my head in with it's unpredictable crashing. I don't think that it was a problem when Truehl w...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Any idea how to get LCD (16x2 or any other, Nokia...) to display the name of the currently playing song? I'm using SqueezeLite (or any other if it would help to change) and I want some API to query the player for the name of the song. I will create my own shell/python script which will poll the inf...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

I'm writing this to share some experiences I have been having with Squeezeplug 6, Logitechmediaserver, squeezeslave and squeezelite. As mentioned in a previous post I have been having continuing problems with my set-up, 512Mb Pi, logitech media server, squeezelite, all on a 4GB Integral SD card. I a...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

FWIW, I am running a router with DD-WRT. I set a DHCP reservation in my router and also have my SSID hidden. Everything seems to work fine for me. :? Interesting. My linksys wireless router running DD-WRT gets it's DHCP from an Aolynk that handles the wired connections. The Aolynk is pretty limited...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

I split this into a separate post as I don't think it's connected with my previous post. I had a problem with being unable to connect into my other Pi recently via LMS web interface. Just kept saying there was no such site available. I was able to ssh into though and running top the LMS was running ...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

If you would like a static address you could leave it as dhcp on the raspberrypi and then just set a dhcp reservation for its MAC address on the router so it will always have the same IP. Yes, but it's a workaround not real static ip. Both methods (reserve ip and manual configuration of network fil...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 6 available

Hi Truehl, Sometimes I think that the various manufacturing runs of Raspberry Pi throw up different little quirks and problems that some observe but others don't. After being very happy with version 5, I took the plunge and installed Version 6. Initially thought I had made a bad mistake when playbac...

Re: ME-TV on RPi

Hi Did you need to use a powered usb hub for this to work or was it plugged in directly to the Pi?. Sorry for the lateness of reply as I mustn't have auto notify on or something, and I'm sure you've sorted this out by now. The PlayTV adapter draws too much power from the Pi so you'll need to go thr...

Re: ME-TV on RPi

While waiting for live-tv playback to be sorted out on XBMC, I managed to install Me-Tv on the pi using the armhf build located here http://packages.debian.org/wheezy/armhf/me-tv/download . I have a Sony PlayTV adapter that can use the Dipcom 7000 drivers so was hopeful. Surprisingly it worked (poor...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi Truehl, Wunderbar job on Squeezeplug 5. I've been re-living my childhood listening to radio stations from all over the world but this time in superb digital quality. My family have been astounded that such a small device can be so versatile and your work on integrating LMS is fantastic. Getting m...
