Re: Official Case?

[Also farnell has started offering a cased version of the raspberry pi but I belive the case was designed by them not by the raspberry pi foundation.[/quote] Of course there are plenty of 3rd party cases out there that are quite nice and do what you want them to do. Plus making custom cases is alway...

Re: Display picture, graphs, progress bar and text.

Have the data stream from a database hosted by someone like 1and1 (web host), or dedicated server hosters. You could have all your stats continuously streaming onto your screen along with your web stats.

I'd definitely recommend JS for this. (Personal preference)

Re: Raspberry Pi vs. Beagle Bone Black

If the RPiF keeps on top of new hardware and pays attention to dropping prices on better hardware then I expect to see more and more powerful devices in the coming months. Competition = Better Products

Re: Official Case?

On top of this the Raspberry Pi Foundation has talked about releasing an "official" case (If I recall correctly). That could been changed since the last I heard about it.

Re: Parallella: A Supercomputer For Everyone

Very cool project but, I'll stick with my RPi. It's cheaper and offers everything I need to have an excellent modding experience. :D

LFHelp: Power Supplies

Below this message is Power Supplies that I would liked to get looked at. What I am looking for is something that can handle a USB Hub, a WiFi Dongle, Mouse, and Keyboard + a 7-16 inch screen. Also, something won't make the RPi Explode. http://www.amazon.com/Quality-4800mAh-Portable-Station-Charger/...

Re: Usb

There in some instances that people want more than 2.

I have not received my Pi yet, but I am going to be using a 4 port, 2.0 hub and insert my Mouse into the last main Port on the RPi and my keyboard into the hub along with a CLEAR Stick Atlas for portability.

Re: Winulator

If Patrick Alto, the coder of DSx86(a DOS emulator for the NDS) were to port it to the Pi, I bet the performance would be quite something. He mentioned it wouldn't be that hard but I think it would mean re-writing a lot of it. Especially to implement 386. DSx86 is one of the greatest emulators I've...

I'd rather hit up a trusted retailer, but of course that's my personal preference.

Winulator

Not sure if anyone has read up on this, but I wanted to post an article that talks about it.

Maybe getting feedback on whether stuff like this is at all possible for the RPi l, now or in the future.

I expect to see many of the regular modders for the PC Version take a stab at the Pi's capabilities. I expect plenty of ports but, would really enjoy something new :geek:

Re: Will 3.0 hub work

Post USB Hubs have a system where if you plug in a USB 2.0 Flash Drive it will run at 2.0 speeds. So expect that. And yes it will work just not at 3.0 speeds.

Portable USB-Powered Monitors

I'm not too sure how many people are looking for a nice Portable Monitor but, I know I was and came across the: AOC E1649FWU 16" USB-Powered Portable LED Monitor, and I know its a very nice one and currently for Cyber Monday it is only at the price of 100$ but, I was curious if anyone else has found...
