Hi all, I'm basically just wondering what i am doing wrong. I have a raspi (512MB B) set up with two external hard drives which are being shared via SAMBA. I have consulted many guides and set it up according to each of them but no matter what config i set, i cannot write to the drive from any sourc...

Not recognising Wi-Fi adapters at all

Hello all, I have recently managed to get my hands on a RPi2 and im looking at making my old RPi into a wireless access point for a relatives office. However, i bought a bunch of cheapo (yeah, i know) WiFi adapters to test it with. I have 3 different adapters... two of these identify with the Hardwa...

Re: Tabletop RPGs and the Raspberry Pi.

believe it or not there are parts of Gateshead that not only have gardens, but gardens that aren't immediately filled with trampolines and/or "staffies". Can you say the same about Felling, or should I say 'The Felling'? Stu From the right side of the Tyne. I could, but that doesn't make it true. A...

Anyway, i took it upon myself to try "web" a few hours ago after looking for HTML5 stuff, as well as Chromium. While they both "work", its not rea...

Re: Tabletop RPGs and the Raspberry Pi.

Their website states that it runs on HTML 5 (firefox or chrome recommended) and that for video chat it needs flash. I guess there are a couple of browsers that should work but you're not going to get the video. Another pi user from Gateshead? i wasnt aware most of us even had electricity. Which bro...

Tabletop RPGs and the Raspberry Pi.

Hi Friends. I have been tinkering about with my pi since quite literally day one release, and my current project has given me a nagging idea that i would like to find more about. I have just finished making a cocktail tabletop arcade cabinet (typical standard build done a 100 times over already) but...

Re: So, how would one actually FIND software to use on this

Synaptic seems to be doing the trick, thank you.

What i was after was more the ability to find out exactly what the packages available on the repositories actually DO, as i managed to gets lists of them, but thats about it.

Now begins the quest of finding out what works and what doesn't

So, how would one actually FIND software to use on this devi

I am a happy owner of a raspi, and i am slowly learning the ropes of the whole linux scene (which is infact, WHY i bought a raspi). After reading through a few guides *and having used ubuntu in the past) im confident in my basic abilities to install and configure software. However, one thing that ba...

Re: Compatible hardware

<t>Well, it may be something worth looking at. I remember a time working in sales, when news of the very first netbook came floating by. The sheer amount of interest it garnered from people who didn\'t really give an f about PC\'s and just \"wanted something cheap that must do Facebook and MSN\" as ...

Re: Compatible hardware

<t>Will there be any plans to put together \"kits\" of various peripherals and devices that will be officially (or even unofficially) supported by the RasPi?<br/> <br/> For example, you could buy your Pi, and then spend and extra $20-30 or so (if you so choose) and receive a keyb/mouse, powered USB ...

Re: Windows CE on the RasPi?

<t>Basically, I\'m just sitting at work on my lunch break dreaming away of my soon to be brand-new RasPi, and more importantly what kind of awesome case I\'m going to make for it. I start to think it would be cool if i could get an eee-pc (or other such netbook shell) and get it sorted inside one of...

Re: Emulation Discussion

<t>I have been following this project for a while, and i am extremely excited for its release. However, like most things released of this nature, i imagine quite a few are very interested in how well it can handle various forms of "gaming". And judging by my search, interest in the RPi is no excepti...
