Re: Beginner - help with self-balancing robot build

To successfully build a self-balancing robot, you only need three things that have to work. - The angle and angular velocity (IMU) - The regulator - The mechanics You can calculate part 1 yourself using the raw data of an IMU, or you can use an IMU that calculates the entire fusion independently. Th...

Re: How do I use a servo in MicroPython on the Pi-Pico ?

Here is my MicroPython example to generate a PWM signal with high resolution and precision. This code generates a PWM signal of 1000us - 2000us, 5.0ms / 200Hz for fast digital servos. The analog potentiometer input is only for testing and is additionally smoothed. The input values can be changed at ...

I have been using the following in a bash script to keep myself updated, and haven't run into problems yet ...

Code: Select all

cd ~/pico/mocropython
git pull
git submodule update --init lib/pico-sdk lib/tinyusb lib/lwip

Thank you very much!

After a long wait I got the Pi4. After collecting a lot of information, I managed to set up and update the Pi4. Now I followed the instructions from you, and everything worked except the last command (make -C mpy-cross): See error message in the picture. What I have done wrong? https://abload.de/img...

i know is simple but to your forget to explain Kp,Ki,Kd are the calibration factor and e is ( target - actual value) What is Ta and ealt ? Normally for integration part is only the sum of e and the differential is only the last value - the new one, What is your reference for this equation? An equat...

Re: PID library ??

What do you need a PID library for?

This is PID:

esum = esum + e
y = Kp * e + Ki * Ta * esum + Kd * (e - ealt) / Ta
ealt = e

That's the whole magic.

However, since I need the newly ordered Pi for other projects anyway, this is not an investment just for this topic.

Re: Lock Code in Raspberry Pi PICO

Unfortunately, my English is very poor, so I ask again:

To be able to run Pi Pico Python SDK so that I can create my own MicroPython UF2 file do I need a PI 4 and the PI OS operating system on it?
Windows 10 alone is not enough?
Did I read this right?

Hello, if you are serious I would look at this free PDF and write and execute all these examples myself without copying.
Then you will see if you like Pi Pico and MicroPython.

Re: IMU absolute Euler angle and the PD controller

I have adjusted the control algorithm.
Now it does exactly what it should:
Accelerate up to a defined speed of rotation of the basket.
Decelerate before the target position.
Precision landing:
