Re: portable media server usb drive or sd card?

I've done a little more testing. Borrowed a friends 500 gig drive runs fine however my 2tb can be finicky. If i don't automount it works fine. Give it a sec to spin up with power attached then I mount it. However I'm thinking if this is happening I am at the limit of what the Pi can do and I don't w...

Re: Debian Hard Float (armhf) for RPi

<r>I think I may have found you some boards. It is located in Texas.  I emailed them asking for a quote (none provided on site) they seem to have the option of a reduced price if buying in bulk, not sure what bulk means to this company though. check it out if you want<br/> <br/> <URL url="http://sea...

Re: Debian Hard Float (armhf) for RPi

<t>I'm sure quite a lot of people are still looking at this page.  I check it so often I've changed it to my start page lol! But honestly ive told quite a few people about it.  Most people aren't so interested in the pi itself but more the process of converting a distro to new hardware.  Keep up the...

Re: Debian Hard Float (armhf) for RPi

<t>Once again thanx for all the hard work.  Has anyone actual tried this on the pi yet?  Only reason I ask is you have put a lot of time and money into this and I'd hate to see some option or something complicated overlooked.  All this work and doesn't boot properly, ouch! Also it sounds like you ha...

Re: Debian Hard Float (armhf) for RPi

<t>Most of what you guys are saying are way to technical for me (yet) but once you get the auto-build scripts working and the correct base packages completed, would it be possible to post a image file to load on a pi so people could start trying to build there own packages with hardfloat?  I ask bec...

Re: Form factor

<t>I love the idea of the Pi and am gonna get a few but like many I wish it was more powerful. I understand the constraints their under and the target market so i don't blame them. The formfactor size is the biggest draw for me and was wondering if anyone knew of any other single board computers wit...

Re: Blue ray

<t>The first thing I thought of when i heard about pi was a homemade bd player! What ive found makes me think the hardware can support blueray and im not so worried about the linux side of the project as I am the power side. Knowing what electrical supply of the system is im worried about the abilit...
